Theres something so special to me about the Aromantic reading of Ryland Grace

"You dont actually care about anything on earth because you dont date" despite him caring for his class deeply yet it being pushed off by everyone

Fellow aces in their twenties, how do you deal with everyone around you slowly getting into relationships?

Ik many other ppl also struggle with this but I do think it feels slightly different

worst things to hear as an aro/ace/aroace person:

"you'll get over it"

"true love will find you some day"

"but what if somebody asks you out and they're really cute?"

"you'll change your mind"

"love/sex is a part of life, you need it"

"I bet I can change that"

"but what if you want kids someday/decide you want to get married?"

"you're too attractive to be aro/ace/aroace"

"men need women around the house" or "women need men around the house"

"but you've had crushes/been in relationships before?"

being aroace and in a relationship will be like always questioning yourself and going all on about "what if" because I'm in a relationship right shouldn't I feel more repulsed about this?

and then seeing romantic/sexual themes in films and being so repulsed and you immediately go "oooh, that's right, I'm just comfortable with him"

and it's honestly so funny and so auto-validating it always makes my day
