For every “⏳” I receive, my muse will openly talk about a bit of their backstory.
He would obviously wait until she was an adult for this:
“Although I am immortal it does not mean I have grown numb to the death of loved ones and friends… I know that you and your siblings have heard your parents talk about the fact that I was sent into exile for ‘Letting the King of England die’ but I feel it is time for the truth of the matter be finally told from my lips considering I have always felt that my exile partly led to the wars that put your father on the throne.”
“I had just landed in the port of Calais when a Henry V’s messenger found me with the news that Henry was gravely ill with dysentery who knew that I was due to join him in France and was urgently requesting my care. Even though I transferred mounts at a full gallop Henry was close to beyond my help by the time I got to his side at the Château de Vincennes. I did absolutely everything I could and did not rest for several days because I was constantly trying to keep Henry hydrated through IVs and constantly trying everything I knew to support him as dysentery ran its course…”
“At the end, Henry knew his time was coming and knew I would have enough guilt as it was about losing him since I had helped bring him into the world and had loved and helped to raise him as if he was my son instead of a distant direct and indirect relation so he signed a document and told those who needed to know I was not at fault for his impending death and that I actually went above and beyond when it came to the care I always provided him… A fact that has only been between me, Henry, his God and my Gods is that King Henry V died in my arms and I was the one who prepared his body for the journey back to England for burial…
“It was pure utter grief that led to my exile and because Catherine of Valois knew I could not die she had me lashed, named as a warlock and exiled. Honestly, exile was worse than death and if it was not for the fact I had my brother and a few family members like Owan Tudor and your Lady Grandmother Jacquetta that wrote to me I do not know how my wits would have survived my punishment.”
“My only wish is that I could have been here to try and help Henry’s son through his madness and if I could have advised those in power and been a mediator in order to try and prevent the wars that have taken so many lives and that have split up mine and so many other families.”
