Your arrakoa foster mother had always been a kind person and you didn’t need anyone to tell you how awesome she was. You knew it firsthand since she took you, a human, into her home and raised you with other children she had in her care. She went to every PTA meeting, helped you with your homework, and took you to every swim club even when she was working two jobs at one point. She raised you up and helped shape you into the person you were today.

So when Mother’s Day came around, no simple card really could articulate just how you felt about your mother. But the truth of the matter no gift seemed right and led you to not buying anything, showing up on her doorstep with just a simple bouquet of flowers and some cookies you baked the night before.
