No one's been faced with how functionally fast Neil is. How fast he needed to be. Sure the foxes know how fast Neil is on the court. Sure Kevin and Andrew know how fast Neil is when he's sprinting out his feelings. Sure Mat knows how quick Neil can be around the dorm when something falls or there's a loud noise. Everyone just thinks he's very much like a startled cat. A little jumpy and quick to startle, always needing “enrichment” as Arron calls it. But that all changed when at the end of a game a tall hulk of a man/reporter walked up to Kevin and Neil who were on press duty. He was practically on top of the table. He was so close. All anyone saw was the reporter lean in to whisper something to Neil. The very next thing anyone could process was a loud bang. Neil had smashed the guy's face so hard into the table that there was blood coming from his newly broken nose. Neil then grabbed Kevin's arm and wrenched him out of his seat to pull him along. Getting up and out of their seats was easy Kevin could do that, but the way Neil wanted him to weave through the crowd jumping legs and ducking searching arms wasn't feasible, not only because of his size, but because the little mop of red curls was already through the crowd and reaching for the locker room doors before Kevin even made it out from around the table. Neil later revealed, long after Wymack called security and the police, that the man was one of the Butchers' people and wanted to scare Neil. Kevin later swears that he didn't even see Neil move, the ginger had just vanished. The story would then go on to become an urban legend for future foxes. “Don't startle the little captain because he will make you bleed so fast and no one will even be able to recall if he was ever there.”
(I also made a different version of this but Neil is running to start a fight with someone who touched his goalie. tehee)
