David Ramsey Twitter Q&A - Spoilers!!!!
Leanne Aguilera asked fans for questions for her David Ramsey interview and David just started answering them directly on Twitter rather than waiting for the interview because HE’S AWESOME.
I grabbed 99% of his answers, but if you want to read all of them check out David’s Twitter feed. As usual our King of Spoilers came with goodies!!!! SPOILER TIME!!!!! OTA is coming together SOON, our Diggle is coming back and I think we’ll be getting some Felicity & Diggle healing. Good things are on the way. PRAISE JESUS. Hang in there fandom!
“’Kay, but the wine. The wine!”
Felicity has her priorities in order.
Thoughts on Arrow 7x11
My outlook on Arrow has stayed pretty consistent while I’ve been watching and it remains the same after 7x11. Episodic television, particularly shows like Arrow with 22/23 episodes per season, are playing a long game. This is even more true when those shows have been on for more than 1 or 2 seasons.
I never understand why there is so much blatant dissatisfaction and outright hate before an episode has even aired. 7x11 was a good episode. So was 7x10. They both served specific purposes and drove the plot. There was also some really good character work in both episodes and some important information was revealed, clarified, and seeded for future episodes.
My point is that no TV series is perfect. And while we as fans are invested in different series and their characters, we’re not the ones writing them. Sometimes the plot and characters will go down a road we love. Sometimes we want to scream and cry. But, in the end, I choose to have faith the story is far from over.
So, about 7x11:
(In no particular order)
Oliver and Felicity are adorable. Oh, the hand holding!
Yay, David Ramsey! Wonderful direction debut.
I thought the character development for Black Siren was good tonight. I know there are many that don’t want to see her redeemed, but Laurel Lance never really bothered me all that much. I thought her storyline tonight was genuine and made her seem more human and less evil caricature. It also fits perfectly into the season’s larger theme of Oliver recognizing that criminals are human beings too.
Glad that Curtis finally stood up for himself. No, he’s not my favorite, but thank god the dude finally grew a bit of a backbone! Also, seriously thought he was dead for a hot second there. (And, mad props to Arrow for that total mid-episode fake out. Had he really been dead that would have been quite the twist.)
On the same note, thank god that Diaz didn’t actually escape. Because if he had, I would have been screaming “REALLY?!?!?!?!?” extremely loudly at the TV.
I’m intrigued to see where Dig and Lyla’s plan is going and how (if at all) it plays into the Flash Forwards.
Stalker time! Looking forward to #Arrow150 and seeing who’s under that mask.
For Oliver, much of this season is unburdening many of the secrets he’s still keeping. The secrets that he kept for many reasons that have influenced him directly and indirectly over the last 12 years. Last week, the secret was about his father’s double life. Tonight, it was about his father murdering his body guard. Part of me wonders whether this theme with Oliver’s dad is just a temporary plot device or if something larger is at play.
We know that the focus on Felicity’s development of a DNA-based security system is tied to the Flash Forwards, but I wonder whether Curtis’ virtual reality program has a larger future as well.
The love of my life rejected me... for a blonde.
Cupid on Arrow 7x11 about Olicity. I love her
