Stephen Amell requested just one “extra” storyline add-on before agreeing to reprise his role of Arrow’s Oliver Queen during The Flash’s final season.
Every time they say “Love letter to the fans” I shudder with dread.
Am I going to watch The Flush again? Yeah. I think I’m legally required to watch whenever John Diggle and Oliver Queen are on my television screen but I AM NOT WATCHING THE WHOLE EPISODE. Youtube is my friend.
When did Beth say there would be more conversations between Oliver/Felicity? I hope they address not only Felicity being able to accept herself but also Oliver making decisions and the lying. I mean I think his speech definitely cleared the air for them but I do hope they work through some more of that. Trust is a HUGE thing to Felicity and even though we all know Oliver does trust Felicity with everything he has I think it's important he proves that to Felicity.
Hello! I completely agree with you. The Beth statement comes from this E! article (bolding mine):
"They are made up now. They're in a good place," Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz confirmed after a screening of the first two parts of the crossover.
Schwartz said that the crossover came up at the perfect time in that storyline, because Oliver and Felicity's problems had to do with them being different people after he got out of prison, and now Oliver's had to become literally a different person.
"He was able to understand her journey, which made for a perfect time for him to realize that he might have been overreacting in episode eight, and it was a nice resolution."
Schwartz teased that they discuss it a little more in future episodes, but you can all rest easy, because Oliver and Felicity are doing OK, assuming they get out of whatever's happening tomorrow.
So yeah. I loved the scene at the end of 7x09 (almost with no reservations) but I agree that they still need to have some serious conversations.
(I mean not to be negative but...) mostly the crossover just resolved the 7x08 scare that didn’t need to be there in the first place.... Yes, we got the reassurance that they’re going to be fine, but I for one never doubted that. The underlying issues about Oliver not including Felicity in important decisions (NOT TO MENTION HIS REPEAT PERFORMANCE OF THAT VERY SAME MISTAKE FOR THE 938th TIME IN 7x09!!! whoops there i go mentioning it) still need to be addressed.
My hope and faith is in Beth, though. After making such a big deal about it in the first 8 episodes of the season, I can’t believe she would be okay with an easy non-resolution like that. SHE’S NOT MARC GUGGENHEIM, AFTER ALL.

4 shows and a wedding? | Before getting into your regularly scheduled DC TV Watch programming, it's time for some crossover speculation: is this fall's massive four-show, four-episode crossover about a wedding? At the 2017 Summer TCA press tour, The CW President Mark Pedowitz revealed that "romance is in the air" for the crossover event, and executive producers Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim elaborated beyond that, explaining that going bigger than an alien invasion meant going "personal" and that "it's a big life event for a few different people" on the shows. With two main couples from Arrow and The Flash going through major changes heading into the new seasons, could Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) finally take that next step and tie the knot, or will it be Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton), who just need to reunite in order to finally have their nuptials? Or could it perhaps even be a double wedding? There's only so long that The CW series can each stretch these engagements before paying them off, and that would certainly give the next crossover a lot of heart.
