Hello. Random people and lil beans that make the way to this place,
At this point my account needs to be rebranded from “cod brain riot” to “the annoying artist that keeps drawing @scientificallywrongsoap s characters like a maniac” but well that’s too long and doesn’t fit the space for the change name.
But how can I resist? We have a wedding you honor! They need wedding pictures! and Glitch can’t clone himself to do fake kisses for the cámara, so, we are stuck with my art. You’re welcome or not idk.
And maybe there’s a lot of stories out there with weddings, but this my friends is the first time that I’m actually inspired by one. Like truly inspired and enjoining the process of creating “wedding pictures” . And I have 15 ideas. Clear ideas. I will post it one or two at a time.
All the ideas I have come with reasons and whys. So come with me for a ride. This is the first one and I will explain the details.
First the outfits!
Those are Glitch choose, he only give me simply instructions: traditional attires and no dresses. Swagger needs to be slimed down. And is a funny wedding.
So for Swagger I chose the traditional attire for the Polish Highlanders. It fits him. The original one has a coat and a hat. He will not use those, I also did a bit of a change in the pattern for his trousers. The original patterns are colorful embroidery over black.
The embroidery is a symbol that represents the spring and beginnings. Is a folk symbol called «parzenica» I change it to red, orange and dark green. His colors in the Glitchverse lore. And don’t hunt me is allowed. Actually in polish weddings flowers, bread and salt are important things. So you may see some of those in other illustrations.
For John, my lovely Subject 7-1. The classic kilt it was the only option. Here we (as collective cuz a bunch of lil beans popped up in my drawing live to help me with ideas) chose the red tartan pattern. Because we discover that is the one that the real MacTavish one uses for weddings. And I use for reference a recent picture of one MacTavish for this. But I also modify a bit. Also I DID THAT TARTAN PATTERN BY HAND. Like a mad man.
The bag, is inspired by the one that Glitch has, same for the coat. Is the same “large”, and it doesn’t look in this one but by the end of the weeding John outfit will resemble a bit that video of him in kilt. Cuz I can’t resist the reference.
His outfit also has his lore colors. In the brooch and other details in his coat, it will be visible in the next one you can she the mix of purples that represents him.
For the pose, it was glitch’s idea. Not directly but his words inspired the pose. The lines they said are his. And it looked cute for that.
Now the background. Did you know that the Warzone map of Vondel has a church? They will get married there. But we all know that those maps take inspiration form real sites. So I dig up a bit until I found how Oude Kerk in Amsterdam looks inside.
And in their official site… there’s this picture of the paperwall and just fall. Cuz it was perfect. The background is inspired by that. Not an exact copy cuz if you see the background has the colors of Johnny and Baby Girl in the flowers.
And plus, this is fun fact for artist… if you mix green with purple. Their green and purple. The result color will be pretty similar to the color of the background a dusty blue gray. ahh the color theory my love!
And that’s it, yall have close ups, a vertical one if you want to use it as wallpaper for the phone. Y job here today is done… until the next one.
See ya!
P.d. Yea all my drawings has this type of stuff so be prepared TO READ .
🎨 "Two Young Women Kissing" by Louis-Léopold Boilly (ca. 1790-1794)
🏛️ Location: The Ramsbury Manor Foundation, UK
🔍 The Story Behind the Artwork: Painted in the late 18th century, Two Young Women Kissing by Louis-Léopold Boilly is a provocative and intimate piece for its time. The painting shows two young women in a passionate embrace, which was especially daring given the era's strict societal norms. Boilly was known for his keen observation of French social life and often incorporated playful or risqué elements into his work, but this particular painting stands out for its overt depiction of same-sex affection. Created during the years leading up to the French Revolution, the piece subtly challenges conservative ideals, presenting a private, tender moment between two women away from public scrutiny.
🖼️ Symbolism and Details: The setting is dimly lit and intimate, with only a table and chair nearby, suggesting a private encounter away from societal gaze. Boilly's detailed rendering of the women’s clothing—one in a white dress slightly slipping from her shoulder—adds a layer of vulnerability and intimacy. This painting was likely a "cabinet piece," meant for a private audience rather than public display. The composition, combined with the muted, tender embrace, conveys both affection and secrecy, evoking a timeless theme of hidden love.
🤔 Why It Matters Today: Boilly's painting resonates with contemporary viewers as a quietly bold statement on love and intimacy. At a time when LGBTQ+ themes were rarely depicted in mainstream art, this piece captures an expression of affection that transcends historical context. The painting serves as a reminder of the diverse experiences of love and the complexities of personal relationships in any era.
❔ Your Thoughts: How do you think Boilly's audience might have reacted to this painting? Do you feel that it was a subtle social statement, or purely a private expression?

what overlay do you use on your art?
there is two types that i use
first is a simple noise texture from procreate. second is more complicated so here:
1.i import my drawing into ibis paint and open up the layer menu
2.i duplicate my layer
3. go to filters and hit this one on the duplicated layer
4.once that is done i press crystalise and dots hexagon in that order
5. go back to your layer menu and hit luminosity on your blending modes
and final step is to turn the opacity down however you like
and its done. i use this for a screentone like texture that is a little more interesting
‘Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan’ by Ilya Repin (16 November 1581) It’s thought Ivan the Terrible killed his son during a family row after Ivan Jr.’s pregnant wife walked past the Tsar in her undergown (showing one’s undies to the Tsar was highly offensive). Another account claims a political disagreement between the two lads was to blame… Ivan the Terrible swung his staff and accidentally smashed his son’s head before desperately trying to stem the blood flow, but to no avail. Twenty-seven-year-old Ivan was the only sane heir to the throne, his younger brother Fyodor was considered mentally ill. The image shows Ivan Jr. at death’s door, forgiving his father for lashing out by solemnly holding a distraught Ivan the Terrible’s shoulder with his right hand.

What is your last art all about? Plase speak of the symbolism, all I hear when I see it is "temptation"...
h A GOTCHA
I mean yeah interpretation but
When i was making it i was like
it's a piece about gaining trust!
We've got Eddie at his most vulnerable (not only he's. Very naked. But also he can't see for shit). And there are two sets of hands; the Venom hands (that are blending with the background) and Other hands, that come from outside and hold out pomegranates to Eddie. In literature, pomegranates are often kinda like, forbidden jewelry boxes. Also one of the associations is the one with myth about Persephone and Hades, where Hades gave her 6 seeds, and she ate them as a promise to come back for half a year each year. So the other hands are like "c'mon Eddie, come back to the normal life" but Eddie doesn't do that, because he's holding onto Venom. and Venom is blending in with the background as kind of this. Thing that's despite not being on the first plan, is still incredibly important, and Eddie is willingly reaching out for them.
