I finally understand why people use fucking dip pens. Fuck man. I have so much ink all over my hands but the feeling i get when I draw a line is Devine. Oh my god.

If you gatekeep brushes your a BITCH
it's not a 200 year old family recipe passed down from your great grand meemaw, ₊✩‧₊˚Axel!/Chance 🥭₊✩‧₊. Just give me the orgasmic looking brushes or I'm going to fuck your left nostril with pliers
Something that tickles my brain in a very specific way is when artists are making characters that aren’t supposed to have something and they visually represent that with the empty PNG grid.
My art sona hasn’t had legs since 2020. But whenever I draw something more detailed like poses, I still draw legs, but I place the PNG grid over them
There is something so deeply satisfactory about drawing dark and brown skin. Idk what it is but its like drugs.
“I get bullied for being an ai artist” oh boohoo 😢😢😭😭😢😢😢😭😢
AI is so soulless that being bullied for making bad art is a thing of the past. Social media taught us that we need to post everything we make, and everything we make needs to look good.
It’s fine to make bad art, it’s ok to keep that to yourself. I do that all the time. The main reason I see people judge artists now is if it’s fetish art lol. People have learned to understand the value of trying.
If someone fails to land a backflip, I would still congratulate them for trying. I’m too scared to even try because I don’t want to fail. Trying has merit, and it’s how you get better
I think it’s incredibly childlike and self absorbed to consume any piece of media or art and then look at someone else enjoying it the same way as you but they’re part of a different demographic and decide that they are stealing from you. Not only that they are stealing from you—- I mean your marginalized community, but also that they are actively disrespecting and contributing to larger issues that cause your marginalization. That’s what a child thinks when they don’t wanna share their toys.
I think it’s incredibly childlike and selfish to see other interpretations or to see people take inspiration from your favorite art piece in a way that you wouldn’t and also get mad at them for stealing from your marginalized community and contributing to your marginalization.
But it doesn’t work the other way around. No when the other demographic has things that you want to consume, it’s okay when you view it through your own lense because they have everything. It’s okay for YOU to steal, as you would put it, because those other guys get everything and they SHOULD share. But not you though. You don’t have to share. It’s actually oppression in and of itself for me to even insinuate that this is ridiculous and that you should also share.
This is about cover songs, fanfiction, headcanons, anything you think it’s about, it probably is.
Maybe a hot take but I'm so tired of people calling everything "commissions"
Guys... the definition is:
"a fee paid to an agent or employee for transacting a piece of business or performing a service"
No free art is not "free commissions"
No trading art for things like in game items / other art is not a "commission"
