An etsy shop, called Yorkbucket, is using your art of Rodimus on one of the bundles of stickers. The item listing has been open for a few months, unfortunately.

Other users cannot report on the artist's behalf, so this is just a message informing you.

thanks for letting me know 😔 it's so disappointing to see listings like this with tons of stolen artwork AND to see that their shop has made thousands of sales

I tried to file a report to Etsy, but they make it sound so official with filling out all the specifics about your "intellectual property." does it really count as MINE if it's only the design and not the subject matter that's mine?

putting this out there in case anyone else has experience with this on Etsy specifically and can give me some tips! it'd be much appreciated!

I will never understand why it’s so hard for people to understand:

DO NOT REPOST ART

No one cares for “credit to the artists” or “credit unknown” 

No one cares if you found it on another site without credit, that doesn’t mean you can post it without credit too and not be to blame.

You need to find credit for the artist and reblog it from their tumblr/twitter. If it’s not on tumblr/twitter, ASK IF YOU CAN REPOST THEIR ART FIRST WITH CREDIT before you put it on a social platform! Respect them if they say no.

Otherwise DO. NOT. REPOST. ART.

To find artists: you need to image search the art (how to), then go through the images of the art, and find the tumblr, twitter, artists name, etc. and find their social media. There’s a good chance they have a tumblr/twitter if their art is being reposted/stolen. You will find that they’ve already posted it to their own medias and you REBLOG it from them, DO NOT REPOST IT.

@therealjacksepticeye please be careful tomorrow when showcasing fanart on the stream. That last picture you liked the facial hair on was stolen and did not credit the original artist. Many wonderful artist has worked are to be noticed and spread the word for this awesome cause.

I do not know who chooses what to showcase, but just remain aware that this is happening.

To add on to that post about Hot Topic being art thieves I remember not to so long ago an artist that I can’t really remember at this time discussed about their Toothless art being stolen and it’s an awful move on Hot Topic’s part.
