just take an off-black color, maybe a very dark and very desaturated brown or purplish navy, not grey. Then play with hsl filters until the lines are visible and it’s a nice tone, this seriously looks great so far I can only dream of my lines being so composed and neat

I normal would do something similar but I can’t mess with this one because it’s a reference sheet for someone bahh :”| I mean it’s not in insanely dark gray so I think I’ll be ok, but.. sometimes I wish people would give me bright character to do lmaoo it also makes shading easier
