Now that I’m planning my next big adventure, I’m looking for the perfect person to take my place as Textiles Department Director at @Lillstreet! Lillstreet has been my home in so many ways for ~ten years~ and being Department Director for the last three has been absolutely amazing. The job is mostly administrative/managerial (the art supplies for which are sticky notes, spreadsheets and jotforms) but I also get to be surrounded and supported by a phenomenal community of makers. The department has around 30 employees and as many as 200 students per session. We have facilities for screen printing, dyeing (chemical/natural), block printing, marbling, sewing, quilting, embroidery, knitting, crochet, frame loom weaving and more. Do I know how to do all that stuff? Heck no, and that’s a-okay.
