Hakuro had entered the old hotel in search of a jeweled necklace an old friend stashed there. He had found her letter while he was cleaning out his basement. The letter was a century old; it was worn and yellowed. He felt guilty about just finding this letter long after she passed. He supposed that, in a grief state, he placed the letter to the side with the intent of opening it later.

Technically he did read it later. ...A hundred years later.

And so, the letter took him here. The last place his old friend was seen alive. He scoffed to himself, remembering that he swore he would never return here. And yet, here he was.

Now he stands at the door of a stairwell, navigating his way through the dilapidated structure. Sheesh, this building had seen better days. Some ceilings had caved in, blocking up entire hallways. He was forced to take a much more...'scenic' route.

Suddenly he hears something on the other side of the door. It sounded big and...meaty... Pushing open the door, he coughs as dust fills his lungs. But then, a horrifying sight catches his eyes. It was a body.

"Holy shit..." He said to himself as he hurried over. He got on his knees and checked him over. The person was still breathing, but Hakuro was scared they were going to lose them.

"Hey...! Hey! Stay awake, okay?" Hakuro said as he patted his cheek. "Stay awake.”

His heart skipped a beat when the other suddenly yet weakly held his wrist and he stopped patting his cheek. A sigh left him as the other began to speak, thanking the spirits that he was able to get this guy to come to. He gave him a moment to gather his breath before answering his question.

"I'm looking for something a friend left here." Hakuro answered. "You scared the Hell outta me." He said with a weak laugh, trying to ease the tension. "Can you move?"

Week of 10/06/24 - 10/12/24

Ayye it's taken like ten months but I've finally made something I'm pretty happy with!! Was tutorial studying real hard, and the piece itself took me like three days to finish (the longest any piece has taken me before!). Is it perfect? Well, no, there are inconsistencies with how the character is actually supposed to look compared to here, but aside from that I'm really happy with this stylistically! Also I still can't draw hands. We been knew :(
