[âThe Tequila Sunrise Sagaâ]
{â Writings â Notes â Ramblings â}
(â An eventful part of history in Heath and Emery's friendship that predates Heath's relationship with Ramiel â) [ !âWarning: this is a bit spicy ... or at least has implications of being spicyâ! ]
[ïž± Continued. ïž±]
Later that night, Beeyel and Emery are getting ready for an intimate encounter. Beeyel gets Em situated in restraints when he springs a custom-made toy he had made out of silver, or at least partly made of silver, and starts asking her about who "the boy (Heath)" was. Em continues to try to play it off, and since she doesn't want to talk, Beeyel put a gag on her. I imagine it looks similar to what Nezuko from Demon Slayer had, but more of it fits in the mouth, concealed inside a vial of dead man's blood, so if Emery bites down too hard, it will flood her mouth. (Beeyel would also have versions of these gags with more pleasing content, too) However, before Beeyel can further question Em, they're interrupted by another of Beeyel's underlings who comes over to whisper something to him, causing Beeyel to excuse himself as he had to "take care of a pesky lil' runt." Left alone, Emery assumes Heath was tracked down, but nah, Beeyel stepped out to deal with Rox. But Emery can hear Beeyel discipling Rox, and can just think "crap, well Heath's dead."
When Beeyel returns and asks Emery why she's crying, she has thankfully come up with a lie saying "she didn't want to play with the kid as she was not in the mood to share and she selfishly wants Beeyel and his attention to herself." Which Beeyel accepts. In the moment, at least.
Additionally, Emery is trying to act like the version of herself that Beeyel likes while also trying to lose herself in that persona and forget about Heath. Trying to be ruthless and indiscriminately mean, Emery is finding it strangely difficult. Anyways a night or two after Heath had shown up at the club, Emery just happens to cross paths with the same bartender who took the tequila sunrise order, as they are both while down in the liquor cellar. After exchanging a few words, the bartender said he finds it odd Em called the kid by name. Which she responds by asking "whether it was a crime that she found it exciting *wink wink* to know what was going to be engraved on her food's headstone?" However, after the club closed that night, Emery is complaining to Beeyel that he didn't watch her performance(s) that night. To which Beeyel fires back that he was dealing with the fact the club's bartender vanished part way through the night and nobody seems to know where he is.
"Oh, I know where he is." Emery smirked as she reclined back over the chaise lounge. "We crossed ways in your booze bunker, where I serviced him before he served me his very last drink." "You quenched your thirst with my bartender?" "He did far more for both my thirsts than you have tonight." A coy smile rose on Emery's painted lips. "Besides, he was only doing his job, providing people with their drinks of choose. That was what you were paying him for, wasn't it?"
Tho, I don't know if Beeyel would be cool with (aka turned on by) Em killing the bartender or if he'd be angry... I also think Em ended up breaking the bartender's limbs and stuffing him in a whiskey barrel or keg. But I don't know if you can open a keg like that... đ€
Meanwhile, Heath has just been sitting at a local diner for three days straight, just trying to figure out what to do. Like:
just conflicted cause he knows something is very, very wrong, but he doesn't know what to do. He isn't sure how to get Em away from Beeyel or if Em even WANTS/NEEDS saving/help. As I imagine, Emery left and went back to Beeyel after she and Heath had an argument about her vampire habits and her sexual habits. And as this is probably around the time Emery is starting to really care about Heath, but assumes he still just presences her as a monster, she thinks maybe it would be best to get out of Heath's life.
So it becomes a thing that Emery thinks she is pushing Heath away for his own good and safety, and his eventual peace of mind. While Heath is struggling cause he wants to respect Emery's choices, but is too concerned to just forget about her like she supposedly wants him to.
[| Part Three |] [ !â Warning: this one does actually have spicy bits. I will try my best to write like an adult and not a flustered praline. â! ]
Beeyel and Emery are getting ready for another round of intimacy when Beeyel proposes a kinky bet between himself and Emery, to see how long she can go wearing one of the blood vial gags before Beeyel gets her to the point she bites down and releases the contents within it. Beeyel promises that this gag wouldn't contain dead man's blood; in fact, he'll give Em the fresh vial of blood he has prepared. With the bets placed (Emery wagering that Beeyel greatly underestimates her endurance), a stopwatch is set, the gag is affixed, Emery and Beeyel start going at it.
Straddled atop Beeyel, Emery's nails cut into his chest as she pushed herself to maintain her rhythm. Yet she could feel that swelling of ecstasy as her pleasure and her pain raced together in a fevered pitch, threatening to reach that climactic crescendo. Her eyes rolling back, Emery welcomed the inevitable as her jaw tightened and the glass vial between her teeth broke. Blood flooded Emery's palate with the aura of graham crackers and sweet vanilla cream, both wrapped in the sensation of snuggling into a cozy blanket pulled fresh from the dryer. Pushing away from Beeyel, Emery fell to the floor and hastily tore the gag from her mouth as she retched and spat out as much of Heath's blood as she could. "Oh...What's the matter, Emmy?" Beeyel asked, not bothering to mask the amusement in his voice as he sat up. "As I said, it was my freshest vital. I doubt it's been more than an hour since leaving the vein."
At some point, Heath manages to sneak back into the club through the service/loading entrance of the liquor cellar. Once inside, he hears a loud, frantic bang coming from within one of the large liquor barrels. Instinctively, he rushes to open the top, to help whoever or whatever is trapped inside. But all he finds is the ghost of the deceased bartender, its body and limbs twisted and bent even in its spectral form. Now forever trapped in the confines of the barrel where Emery stashed the bartender's corpse. A la Victoria from the video game Phantasmagoria and one of the slowest jump scares I think I have ever seen (and yet the image and idea of Victoria's fate really sticks with me?)
Heath screams and recoils from the spirit, covering his mouth as he tries to stifle his cries as an uncontrollable wave of terror and panic wracks his body.
Humorous addition, because it is desperately needed, as Heath is preoccupied with trying to stay quiet and calm himself down for this discovery, he fails to notice Rox and Levi poke their heads out from behind a stack of kegs.
"Uhh...Should we see if that guy needs any help, Roxy?" "And risk Beeyel finding me back down here when he comes to investigate the screaming and wailing? Yeah, I don't think so. I'm already in enough trouble as it is. Blubber boy's on his own."
[| Part Four |]
As I've been going through fleshing out the details of this chapter in Heath and Emery's story, I've been seriously wondering: how the HELL are these two getting out of this mess? When I remembered this drawing from 2019.
So I think great, a fire that engulfs and ultimately destroys the whole club, that will create a lot of chaos, and Heath and Emery could slip away. But how does the fire start?
As he is trying to calm himself down from the scare he got from the ghost trapped in the barrel, Heath comes to realize he is going to need to create some kind of distraction or diversion that will hopefully allow him an opportunity to search the club for Emery without a great deal of people there. However, what the distraction should be eludes him. So he looks at the CasMark and desperately asks for some indicator from his past, present, or future that could possibly help him. Then he begins to get these mental images of bonfires and fireworks: Zippo lighters, lit candles, and a roaring dumpster fire. (lowkey, I imagine the CasMark is telling him to take a page out of Heather's book)
A bit reluctantly, Heath starts a tiny fire in the liquor cellar and then runs off to pull the fire alarm. But he finds the alarm is not wired to the building and, in fact, pulls it off the wall as if it were stuck there with chewing gum. Then there's a big explosion from the cellar behind him as Rox and Levi rush out, because Levi tried to put the fire out with very high proof liquor. And after that, it spreads FAST; the flames traveling up the tapped kegs into the club's bar up above.
But ultimately, Heath does find Emery. tho I'm not sure what state she would be in. I don't know what state either of them would be in. As I still wonder if - one Beeyel ever even did capture Heath, as one method I could see Beeyel having used to get Heath's blood for the vial gag, is that he just set up a blood drive knowing Heath was likely to give, as the kid was probably the closest thing to a saint that has ever stepped foot in any of Beeyel's establishments and I believe Beeyel could just smell the goodie-goodie energy that eminated from Heath. Or maybe Beeyel does capture Heath. And if so, does Beeyel seek him out? Or does Beeyel have the intuition to wait? Knowing that there's something between this kid and Emery, and that Heath is likely to come back. Allowing Beeyel to ensnare Heath then, likely when he sneaks into the liquor cellar? And if that's the case, when does Heath start the fire?
Secondly, what state is Emery in when Heath finds her? I think that also has to do with how Beeyel reacts to Em's response to tasting Heath's blood. I have a friend who says that he believes Emery could stay face by lying and saying that the blood was just so damn sweet that it was actually really sickening, but I think Em would be so blindsided and caught off guard, it would be impossible for her to deceive Beeyel. Especially since he has set this trap up specifically to gauge Emery's reaction. So would Beeyel punish Emery for lying to him? If so, how? How severe would the punishment be? I think that partly depends on whether he does or doesn't actually have Heath in his clutches, too.

"You're a coward."
"I know."
"That doesn't make you sick?"
"Of course it does. It's all I think about. I'm a waste of space. I don't contribute anything. Throw another insult at meâI'm sure I've already said it to myself."
