an eye for an eye, in god they trust, killing in the name of.
just whose god, or who is.
if everyone is to end up blind, or partially sighted at best, then in the land of the blind, a one-eyed person holds the reigns.
justify as you testify, but there is no justice in your words.
spitting out hate at heaven’s gate, will you be let through.
so, we sit, in the media centre, told how to react, though it goes against our nature.
we listen, we watch, from a distance in our western chambers.
horrified, but not afraid. not yet.
to speak against the narrative is to have your voice silenced, rejected, objected by those that truly hold the reigns.
and so, silence falls upon these here lips, as no one hears, no one is listening.
we accept, or at least do not reject, the state in which we reside. taking sides if we let them on an aggressor.
turning away from truth, as lies become more palatable.
turning away, because if we aren’t looking it doesn’t exist, the tree never falls, and no one is here to hear when it does.
an eye for an eye, does not justify the action, it amplifies the outcome, and everyone becomes blind.
