why are allo lesbians so adamant on attacking the idea of aspec people loving artemis and saying that she cannot possibly be ace/aro/aroace when they have an entire greek figure that they based a term (sappho-sapphic) on already? Like can we have this one thing without it being claimed as aspecs STEALING from y'all?

I've said it, others aspecs have said it before but ill say it again....

Artemis is an aspec symbol. Aphobic allo Lesbians and aphobes are mad we see ourselves in her (tbh aroace Artemis makes so much sense but not the point), while aspec lesbians are caught in the middle.

I also recently seen a post about Philotes for aros.

Sappho is a lesbian symbol. No one is mad about that.

Apollo is as fucking bi as you can get.

Achilles/Patrocles is a gay male/mlm symbol. Again, minimal backlash I've seen.

See the difference? I know it's all a matter of opinion but why are aspecs constantly berated for trying to claim our own symbols when other orientations have their own already?

Also I purpose Aphrodite as a pan symbol.

I'm not sure for poly at the moment....
