ghost has a lot of bad coping mechanisms. he doesn't sleep, sometimes keeping himself awake just to avoid having to face another nightmare; he digs his nails so hard the skin breaks, drops of blood always smeared around his forearms. he smokes, drinks himself unconscious. continues on living despite knowing he should be dead. it all comes from years of not knowing how else to cope. it comes from hatred.

price noticed long ago. started implementing things to get the man to stop - a subtle hand grabbing his arm, once he sees those nails come out; a supportive presence when the nights get bad. nothing he can do about the cigs and booze, except for being the one who's pouring. he can't save him, can't save any of them, when it comes to that. but he can at least try.

No because you don’t understand how important it is to me that humanity has been to the moon only twice and the first time, black people were still segregated from white people and attacked for asking peacefully for the basic right to equal treatment, and when women could not have a credit card, seek safe legal abortions, and could be raped by their husband with no criminal punishment, and now the second time, a black man and a woman are on board.
