do you think ezran might have ptsd and/or aquaphobia after diving into that frozen lake in s1?

Possibly! Ezran would definitely have PTSD from the events of 1x03 onwards and I headcanon him needing grief counselling to actually process his feelings towards his dad (and because the anger of Callum and Rayla both not telling him wouldn’t go away overnight and probably rear its head again later). 

One really interesting thing I’m curious if the show will do anything with is Ezran’s conceivable (or actual) guilt in regards to consequences. I felt like there were nods to him having survivor’s guilt in regards to Phoe-Phoe in TTM, however:

Ezran would have to grapple with the survivor’s guilt of surviving the assassination mission that took his father from him, in addition to the knowledge that Callum nearly / could have died in his place.

Ezran also went into the water and risked his life for the egg, and then thought the egg had died anyway. “All” he “got” was a cold (in his mind, perhaps) and the egg was dying? While he doesn’t seem to blame himself for any of it, that’s gotta hit heavy, too. 

Ezran knowing Rayla was going to lose her hand for him as a consequence of choosing to fail her mission and keep him alive. This would hit particularly hard since while this was going on, Ezran didn’t know the mission had any other consequences (namely ones for himself).

This would be amplified by learning how/why Rayla was banished from her home.

Ezran sacrificed himself and his autonomy/freedom/crown to try and save lives from bloodshed and fear mongering, and yet many people died in the final battle (and all were corrupted in some fashion). Aka his sacrifice, to him, wasn’t nearly enough.

Phoe-Phoe dying for him as I’ve previously mentioned, with the way it carries over into TTM: “Phoe-Phoe sacrificed herself to get me to the Storm Spire -- I owe her everything” and “Phoe-Phoe sacrificed herself for me. I have to honour that.” This is softened post-TTM though, by the fact the little bird is successfully reborn.

Then, TTM has Rayla going to hunt down Viren -- who threatened Ezran and Zym arguably the most -- and Ezran being likely unable to really help in the search for her (Callum may have to take up more of that mantle, and thereby be risking his own life) because he has too much political stuff on his plate.

Again, it may be addressed, may not be (and I don’t think it’s a fault of the show if it isn’t), but I would be really curious to see a scene where Ezran is adamant about him being the one to “pay the price” for once (as though he hasn’t already, and no matter how unjust it may actually be).
