My art goals for this year!!!

(From top left going down)

1.Try to work on MRP, a webcomic my friend is writing and I am drawing.

2. Try to draw at least one picture a month (to post)

3. Record more

4. Draw with more traditional pieces

5. Post more (even if they are WIP)

6. Try to draw some Fanart

7. Draw in my ‘pretty’ book and at my desk more

8. Work on my project Waves and get it done this year

These are my goals. However, if I am unable to do or complete one, I am going to try to not hold it against myself. It’s okay to fail. It’s okay if things don’t go as plan. My motto is “At least try.” So that’s what am going to put to practice. That’s not saying am not going to try my best to complete these goals these years. I am just going to take it easy.

Mine are:

- Switch to drawing in a loose, simple and animatable style - Study a lot of anime posing and simplification - 365 1h animations - Making a professional Demoreel to apply for Animation jobs/internship!

Hey, yes it’s me MrBlack! I’ve been meaning to make a post dedicated to everyone who reps my art and all the amazing folk that follow me here on IG. With out y’all, with out my community I couldn’t do what I do. So Huge thanks for all your support and believing in me & my art! If you just found my work and or have been following me on this crazy art journey. Here’s a bit about my path as an artist. I chose art as my life path when I turned 25, while traveling in southern Japan. Graduating jc in 2010, I then moved to the Bay Area. To poor for art collage & not wanting to be in debt all my life for painting, I then found myself working from home. Through many life trials I finally settled in downtown Oakland. Working a 9-5 job in SF and putting in hrs in my art studio at night. 7 yrs later, Covid happened and like a lot of ppl, I then lost my jab, house, relationship, studio and had to move from the bay. But! It was the push/transition I needed to try n hustle art 24/7. Now, I see myself as a traveling artist and feel so thankful everyday I Get to wake up & do what I’ve been working towards for longtime! So a bit late but this week I took some time to think about my #artistresolutions2021 ✏️🎨✨ The lovely template is from @coco__glez and I will try to do this every year now since it’s nice to have clear and reachable goals. I tried to pick realistic and measurable once, since I have the tendency to always plan to much and put myself under pressure with my own expectations: Any one else know that problem ? 😅 My resolution details 💛 • Want more art books to support artists I love and also have some nice offline inspiration sources • Mostly when I go to art supply stores I just randomly buy the colors I like that moment, which ends up have some twice and others I would need missing - so I have to Planung that better • I want to change more to high quality fine art prints and a smaller selection of illustrations, since with the small prints and postcard I have to much boxes Staple next to my desktop. • Bought Posca markers I never used - need to change that.
