Hey, yes it’s me MrBlack! I’ve been meaning to make a post dedicated to everyone who reps my art and all the amazing folk that follow me here on IG. With out y’all, with out my community I couldn’t do what I do. So Huge thanks for all your support and believing in me & my art! If you just found my work and or have been following me on this crazy art journey. Here’s a bit about my path as an artist. I chose art as my life path when I turned 25, while traveling in southern Japan. Graduating jc in 2010, I then moved to the Bay Area. To poor for art collage & not wanting to be in debt all my life for painting, I then found myself working from home. Through many life trials I finally settled in downtown Oakland. Working a 9-5 job in SF and putting in hrs in my art studio at night. 7 yrs later, Covid happened and like a lot of ppl, I then lost my jab, house, relationship, studio and had to move from the bay. But! It was the push/transition I needed to try n hustle art 24/7. Now, I see myself as a traveling artist and feel so thankful everyday I Get to wake up & do what I’ve been working towards for longtime!
