This project has allowed me to explore my interest in cars and motorsport through a wide range of practical outcomes, and looking back at my posts, I can clearly see growth in both my skills and confidence. Starting with simple car sketches from multiple angles, such as the Golf and BMW studies, I focused on understanding form, proportion, and structure rather than detail. This foundation carried through into more developed digital pieces, like the BMW M3 E30 paintings, where I experimented with process posts, layering, and intentional omissions (such as leaving out the wheels) to emphasise shape and design choices. The animations, from early unfinished frames to the final completed sequence, pushed me to think about movement, timing, and storytelling in a way that static drawings didn’t, while still keeping a simple visual language. Recording POV videos and sound-focused clips also expanded my practice beyond drawing, helping me capture atmosphere, motion, and sensory experience to inform my visual work. Overall, this project shows a clear progression from observational sketches to more ambitious digital paintings and animations, and it reflects how I’ve become more thoughtful about process, experimentation, and how each piece connects back to my main theme.
