Meet The Boudreaux Legacy Generation 1!

Welcome to my Sims 4 Decade Challenge! After years of research and digging through my own ancestral background, I was heavily inspired by the history and the many, many stories of my large family.

Louis and Josephine met during one of Louis’ jobs in the city of Champs Les Sims. Many will say it was love at first sight. Josephine had a line of eligible bachelors at her door but chose Louis. Louis was and still is, charming and a family man. When the two were just 21 (Louis) and 20 (Josephine) years old, they married. Louis’ family wanted to extend the family business to the states due to all the success stories they were hearing from other business owners. Louis and Josephine packed up their belongings and moved to Henford-on-Bagley to start their legacy.

Louis Boudreaux was born in 1869 in Champs Les Sims. Louis came from an upper-class family known for their woodworking and handiness skills. Louis is known for being passionate about things he loves, making him come off as hot-headed, but he’s hard-working and ambitious and nothing will get in his way.

Josephine Boudreaux

Josephine was born in 1870 in Champs Les Sims. Josephine was one of the highest regarded bachelorettes in Champs Les Sims. She had striking beauty and book smarts which made every man swoon. She spent a lot of time in her families garden reading books or teaching local children how to read.

✨2009 vs 2019.✨ I was still married in 2009 and struggling a lot with my identity. The picture on the left was from one of the many times I would sneak away to be myself. I always felt shame and guilt for those moments but it was becoming very difficult to suppress who I was. I dreamed of one day having the courage and freedom to live my truth but never believed it would actually happen. . Now, 10 years later, I struggle to remember what life was like before I transitioned. The true happiness I have found by living my life authentically has caused me to forget a lot of what life was like before (that may also be due to old ish age but who’s counting...not me anymore 😝.) . Decade Challenge!

Seal Rescue Ireland is doing our very own decade challenge and boy what a decade it has been! We began as Dingle Wildlife and Seal Sanctuary 10 years ago and started rescuing Ireland's sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. In 2014 our centre in Dingle, Co. Kerry was destroyed by a horrible storm and we made the hard decision to leave and move over to Courtown, Co. Wexford were we rebranded as Seal Rescue Ireland. Ever since then our organization has continued to grow with an increased focus on conservation and education. As our outreach grows the number of seals that need our help grows as well and we would like to take the time to thank each and every one of our supporters throughout the last decade, whether it be a donation, signing up as a volunteer or reporting seals in distress. We are excited to see what the future holds!
