“Some hunters found a strange thing in the scrublands. It moved like a flower in the wind. It was covered in a shiny carapace and appeared to look through one giant eye on one side of its upper lip.

The hunters shot the creature to study it. They cut open the creature with lasers to study its anatomy. The beast was even stranger under its exoskeleton. Flaccid bristles stuck out of its upper lip. The rest of its flesh was covered in soft setae, with concentrations in certain areas. When they cut the bristles open, there was nothing in them. It was solid all the way through. They severed the heartstrings between its lips and the air was filled with red mist. They collected some, and apparently it formed a crust.

They couldn’t make any sense of the creature’s upper lip. It was unlike anything they had ever seen. Every discovery was of something without precedent. This is the strangest animal ever discovered in recorded history. Geologists are scrambling to collect the stone inside the inside as I write.

To express my personal opinion, the thing scares me. I saw a picture of its body, all cut up. It had many colors inside the inside. It was like looking at an abstract painting. I like biology, but this seems beyond everything else. They’re still unsure if it was an animal or a plant, or even if it was alive.
