'Highly necessary': Beijing to discuss enacting national security law in Hong Kong following months of protest | Hong Kong Free Press HKFP

Beijing is to discuss introducing national security legislation in Hong Kong following almost 12 months of protest and unrest. The move comes 17 years after such plans were scrapped following city-wide demonstrations. State media announced on Thursday that the National People’s Congress (NPC) is to discuss drafting a decision on “Establishing and Improving the Legal System and Enforcement Mechanisms for Hong Kong to Safeguard National Security” at a plenary session on Friday.

Relatório da Article 18 revela crescente perseguição cristã no Irã

Um relatório recente da ONG de liberdade religiosa Article 18 expôs a intensa perseguição que os cristãos enfrentam no Irã, apesar das alegações do país de permitir a prática pacífica da fé. O estudo intitulado “Vítimas sem Rosto: Violações de Direitos Contra Cristãos no Irã” revelou casos de prisões, espancamentos, vigilância e assédio, destacando a dura realidade para muitos cristãos iranianos.

Até o final de 2023, pelo menos 17 cristãos presos durante o verão receberam penas que variavam de três meses a cinco anos de prisão, multas, açoitamento e, em um caso, serviço comunitário cavando sepulturas. Apesar de um número comparável de prisões em 2023 em comparação com anos anteriores (166 em 2023 e 134 em 2022), o relatório destaca a dificuldade em obter informações detalhadas sobre as vítimas devido à intensificação da repressão.

O presidente do Congresso de Líderes Cristãos, Rev. Johnnie Moore, enfatizou as consequências mortais da política do Departamento de Estado dos EUA em relação ao Irã. Moore ressaltou que os líderes iranianos sentem-se autorizados a perseguir cristãos sem temer punições internacionais. Ele destacou que o regime iraniano persegue os cristãos por temer o crescimento e a resistência do cristianismo no país.

Segundo o Gospel Prime, apesar das promessas de liberdade religiosa por parte do Irã, os cristãos continuam enfrentando violência brutal, prisões e ameaças à vida de suas famílias. We are here that they may have equal rights. Muslim People are killed for rejecting Islam, Muslim people are imprisoned and tortured for leaving islam. It is not right that people get to lose their life, get imprisoned and get tourtured for their believe. This contradict with Article 18 of the universal declaration of human rights which give freedom of thought conscious and religion and this freedom include the right to change their believe and practice their new faith.How can we be quite about this? Taiser the governor of Banjab was murdered by his body guard for trying to free Asia who was in prison for being accused for Blasphemy. Shabaz the minister of Minority followed the same fate for trying to protect minorities in Pakistan. 400 christian families cannot return to their home since the teenager Rimasha was accused of blasphemy.A number of pastors in Iran are serving prison sentences for their conversion from Islam to Christianity. Metafi in Saudi Arabia has been in prison since he was 18 now he is 36 because he is Ismaili accused of blasphemy. Kashgari a journalist who tweeted that somethings Mohmad did I like something he did I do not like, was accused of blasphemy and 30000 tweeted he should be killed. He apologized and this didnot help. He tried to escape to New Zeland via Malaysia. He was arrested it there and extradited to Saudie Arabia. He has been in prison since then. Around 10 countries hav death sentences for Apostates and Blasphemers. I noticed that TheRealEwaSonnet Tumblr was taken offline today and since I know the reason given was: “ spam ” or “ violation of moral etiquette ” (« hate speech », moral prejudice) or whatnot (bla bla bla).

I on my turn am going to say “ bullshit ” (or 'gówno prawda' in Polish)... Wanna know why I say this!? Because the previously mentioned Tumblr blog was parodying a “ famous ” Polish big boobies topless model.

AFAIK: Parodying or using Satire to put things to light, that wouldn't be read by anyone were it given in the form of a dry thesis. Was, is and still is protected by the 1st amendment in the US. But of course, I could be mistaken though!?

Since Tumblr's HQ is located on American Soil, I daresay it shouldn't be possible for someone to get any of your blogs taken down, precisely because of the 1st amendment. Since Tumblr has an International crowd posting away all sorts of posts about varying subjects, I daresay their (including mine) right(s) {is,are} protected by Article 19 of the UDHR, a treaty signed and rectified by the then known members of the UN. Needless to say Poland since it joined the UN/NATO has been sworn to uphold those same rights. I say Poland, because I presume the “ take down notice ”, has its origins there!?
