The other day I saw that created their own Starwars OC and in the back of my head a memory was unlocked! As a Starwars Episode one obsessed kid I too created my own Starwars OC. A Gungan named "Artilla" so I decided to revisit him and give him a Back story...
Artilla was born 13 years before the events of the Phantom Menace. He was a Gungan born with a curious defect in that he didn't speak in a traditional Gungan accent, so no "Wesas" and "Yousa" from this Gungan. As a child, Young Artilla saw some Nabooian children playing near the Lake and wanted to join them, but his parents intervened and told him that Gungans and The Naboo could not be friends. Artilla asked, "Why not?" but his parents told him that it is Gungan law.
Artilla Ignored his Parent orders and one day went to Join the Nabooian children. The Children welcomed Artilla to join them and all was good till a Gungan foot solider grabbed Artilla and brought him back kicking and screaming back to the nearby underwater city. His parents grounded him and banded him from ever going to the surface for awhile.
Artilla put his time to good use by concentrating with his studies and learning how to pilot a Bongo submersible craft. When Artilla reached 13, He heard rumours that Naboo was to be taken over by the Trade federation. Artilla decided to grab a Gungan Javelin, hijack a Bongo and escape his home. He made it to the Surface and got to a near by Space port where he was taken in by Captain Rikon and his Crew.
First, mate Pol Yeymen took a young Artilla under his wing and trained him how to pilot the ship and use a blaster. Artilla would grow up to be a respected mercenary. I should really develop what he gets up to as an adult and his time during the Clone Wars.
