ARTIS LIVES Part of a Bigger Plan
The circle of life
What is it? The beautifully animated short film Artis Lives by Part of a Bigger Plan for Artis Amsterdam Royal Zoo. The film shows numerous aspects of the circle of life, including birth, eating, pooping, camouflage, predation and competition for food.
It’s good because the film uses superb hand-drawn images and represents animals in a unique and textured style. The film shows the links between species and highlights the fact that ‘you can’t do life alone, life is something we do together’.
