this is gonna be about leovor because they're taking over my brain again so of fucking course it's gonna be about leovor.

i don't think either of them (especially eivor) sleep particularly well, but neither of them realize quite how bad it is until the morning after they've slept together (and i mean actual sleeping lmao) for the first time, when they're both reminded of what it feels like to actually sleep through the night undisturbed. i also think leofrith is insanely touch-starved and having someone hold him while he falls asleep would knock him out in 30 seconds flat. excuse me while i go have a good long cry.

gale would not be a good parent. this is not a judgement of his character, nor am i saying he's a bad person, and the fact that some people in the fandom like to equate gale "not being father material" (his words) with him being insecure or self-deprecating is really weird and you should probably unpack that! also, we don't need to add the idea of children into the mix in order for gale to think he's a bad person. 😇

i can't remember any particularly weird ones in recent memory? "cult recruitment tactics"? "medieval birth control methods"? "best place to stab someone if you want them to be incapacitated for several weeks but not dead" (context is not important for this one😈)?

What made you ship it?

so i hadn't actually played valhalla yet when the crossover was announced last year, but i was deeply hyperfixating on odyssey at the time. so when i was busy mourning the fact that i was coming close to finishing all the content for the game and i suddenly found out we were going to get more surprise kassandra content, i cried about it at work and then promptly installed valhalla that night when i got home. so in a way, we can blame kass for my eivor brainworms!! anyway, it was the crossover. the crossover made me ship it. the tension there throughout the whole dlc was just. muah. beautiful and gorgeous and spectacular.

What are your favourite things about the ship?

i think kassandra sees a lot of her (younger and more care free, less world weary) self in eivor, and i think they're similar in a lot of ways which is what makes them butting heads so severely in the beginning soooo funny. i'm a sucker for pairings who have terrible first impressions and then vehemently refuse to like each other even as they slowly grow to like each other in spite of it all. then there's also the way i think eivor very quickly picks up on kassandra's loneliness, and even though she can't do anything about it long term she at least insists on giving kassandra some companionship for that one night. i'm crying just thinking about it. i love eivor and her empathy so so much. and i know in my heart of hearts that kass knows where ravensthorpe is and visits every once in a while because if i think about her being alone for hundreds of years at a time i WILL explode.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

idk if this is necessarily unpopular, but i honestly think i prefer them as a tragic romance. like i have a whole story for them that exists in my head (and in tiny snippets in my google docs that i WILL get around to finishing some day, i promise!!) in which they keep meeting throughout the years and they form a deep friendship and each grow to love each other in their own ways. but kassandra can never fully commit because she's immortal and eivor can never fully commit because she knows kassandra isn't being fully honest with her (and she is also carrying a torch for randvi). they love each other and they resent each other for not being the person they need them to be and they know each other more deeply than anyone else does and yet they don't actually know each other at all. makes me feel fuuuuucking craaaaaazyyyyy.

a song that reminds me of them: borders by kalandra. every kalandra song can be about eivor if i want it bad enough 💖

what they smell like: honey and wood smoke

an otp: girl has chemistry with basically everyone. kassandra vili randvi hytham estrid etc etc. but i'm feeling some type of way about leofrith lately (lately being the last uuuuuh six months rip)

a notp: sigurd. there's a few others that i can understand but just don't particularly care for but keep away from me with that shit in particular. they're literally siblings!!!

favorite platonic/familial relationships: sigurd in the deeper version of their relationship that lives in my head. varin because eivor's relationship with her father is one of the emotional through lines of eivor's character in the main game. rosta, my darling rosta, who doesn't get as much attention as she deserves, but eivor is such a mama's girl and it makes me a bit insane. also gunnar!!! he loves her so much and is so proud of her. styrbjorn and eivor's relationship is so interesting and i wish we got to see more of it. i'm just listing everyone now. valka and eivor's relationship is so sweet and there's a kind of trust and understanding there that i don't think eivor shares with any other character.

a headcanon that is popular in the fandom but that i disagree with: i don't know if there are really any specific headcanons that i dislike? i tried to write a few responses to this but they just feel really nitpicky so i stopped 😂

the position they sleep in: when she's alone, with her back to a wall with easy access to a weapon. when she's with a trusted partner she's the little spoon because she can rest easy knowing she has someone watching her back 😭

a crossover au i’d love to see them in: accidentally have been becoming very serious about my star wars au in which mandalorian eivor comes into possession of the darksaber and starts having visions because of it (the sword's haunted--) while also trying to lead her scattered people and ally with jedi hytham and basim, who are hunting a relic of the jedi order for their own purposes. if none of this makes sense to you because you don't know or care about star wars lore then i envy you 💖 just ignore this and read the fic whenever i finish it pspspsps it's all you need i promiseeeee

my favorite outfit they’ve ever worn: the berserker armour is my usual go to, but i also hate wearing it in wintery regions because eivor looks cold ahgsdfasdhf in which cases i'll usually rotate between the raven clan or mystical armor. would also wear the huldufolk armor if i had it !!!!!!

crashing that wedding in the crossover is obviously canonically their first date. to meeee.

but barring that, i've had a scenario living in my head basically for forever in which the first time they see cross paths again after that is when kass finds eivor in the aftermath of a fight of some sort, wounded and hypothermic, and treats her injuries and has to warm her up with her body heat. 🤪 sorry for being sucker for that shit. like it's my fault.

but yeah these two are never ever ever having a normal first date. definitely not in the cards for them.

had to go digging for something in a pinch and time is like water by chloe paradis is mostly instrumental but has me climbing the fucking walls in reference to them (but especially kassandra) 😖

28. what are their thoughts on pet names? do they have any?

i don't really think about pet names much in general so this is kind of hard... i could hear either one of them calling a romantic partner "my love" (and i think kass actually does in the game at one point, iirc) and that makes me feel insane to think about asdjgjfdjf
