Everything aches. He’ll just shut his eyes for a moment.

He wasn’t sure what to expect in Anor Londo. The city was built for gods, but the man-sized stairs and ladders were invitations for normal folk to walk among them. Regardless, he wanted nothing to do with the place. They created paradise on earth and dropped a trap-filled fortress in front of it. Chalking it up to the madness of immortals, he ignored Anor Londo...until a prince approached his regiment, chests of gold in tow.
It feels like that happened hundreds of years ago, when only the gods were insane, not the entire world.
Still, someone is hospitable. The bed is warm, the covers soft. He can’t feel his legs, but can’t bring himself to care. Several cots down, a woman sleeps soundly, wisps of black hair draped across her face. She’s beautiful, he decides. She would make someone a fine wife.
He drifts into slumber.

He gets used to six legs. The tail. The pincers. The shards of metal embedded in his flesh. Days bleed into melted twilight paintings. He chips rust off his helmet and hunts for rabbits.
At night he recalls a golden gleam, rainbows of light scattering as glass breaks beneath his sword. Wooden beams, a chandelier. Feeling heavy, so heavy, watching warily as a white snake slithers toward him, a fang in its hand, thrown--
He’s falling--
--he wakes with a start, blinks sand out of his eyes. The only thing that glows around here is himself, he finds, a ghostly green glow from his lower half. He shakes his head, tries to get comfortable in his little home, his little fortress.
It’s only a dream.
I’m actually sad that Arty blocked me because I really apreciate and admire some of her criticisms of gaming and media culture, but I can’t agree with everything, even if it’s poorly thought, can I?
A while ago Arty and I were going to do a thread, but it fell by the wayside. All part and parcel of RP, but I wanted to draw lane-pushing ladies making out anyway.
I just had the best idea ever for a Dota2 Valentine's Day doodle
where
LC is hit in the face with a shield or something. And when she looks at it, the words "COME TO AXE" are carved in it. And she looks up, confused, to see Axe angrily blushing and staring at her
