Ok this is actually a slight worry of mine, because I had heard about this happening a lot. If I link a url though it should be fine, right? Rather than… Downloading and uploading which I have seen some of… If I ever do it on accident PLEASE yell
Well I won't 'yell' at anyone lol... it's disappointing, that's about it.
I understand the urge to 'i want to post this art but i can't bother with finding the source oh well!'. but it really hurts a lot of artists when they see their hard work that sometimes took hours, weeks, months to be posted without credit. A lot of artists gave up drawing and some gave up posting it in public. Some just leaves the fandom which i reeeeeally don't want to see.
https://saucenao.com/ -- this is a good place to see if you can find the original source of the art you've downloaded.
If you can't find through that, I really suggest not posting your art.
One other way is browsing through pixiv through tags, finding a pic there and posting it here. Now a lot of artist DO NOT LIKE REPOST. It's best to check their profile and see if they really don't want you doing that. Akiwoz is one of the shizaya artist who reeeeally doesn't like it, so I never even reblog her art even though she's my favorite artist. She has a tumblr tho, so I just reblog from her directly.
Once you have an art you really want to post there's several ways to source it.
1) top right corner see that clockwheel thing? It says advance option. You can link the url source there.
2) you can just post the art and link the url in the text. See the part that has bold, italic, and slash? Right after that is the link urls.
