ACE PERRY! IT’S OFFICIAL!
[ID: Digital chibi drawing of Agent Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb. She’s holding a grappling gun and crouching. He’s smirking and looking off to the side. His hat has an Asexual flag band around it and he’s outlined with the colors as well. The Image underneath is a banner promoting ChocolatePyrusArt’s Patreon. End ID]
this is the best thing ever thank you dan
Perry is not canonically ace or demisexual. Man. Please stop shelling headcanons as canon facts.
The ask was about headcanons.
And I think you mean shilling, Anon.
What do you think of ace/demisexual Perry headcanons? They seem pretty popular from my vantage point
I LOVE them. I’m completely on board with them.
Perry and LaFontaine grew up together, and Perry is obviously madly in love with LaFontaine, so why aren’t they together? Because the relationship they had: close but chaste, was always everything Perry needed. If LaFontaine can cuddle up with Laura to watch movies, you can bet they and Perry do it all the time. But now that LaFontaine has J.P., Perry is actually feeling jealousy.
I’d rather she not be demisexual, though. Not because I don’t accept it as a real orientation, obviously. But since she came prepackaged with a queerplatonic relationship, it’s a cheap way to have someone on the ace spectrum without actually having to show them lacking sexual attraction for a significant period of time. It’s the equivalent of having a token gay character who never has romantic subplots.
On other hand, I like the idea that she’s demiromantic, because it would explain how she could be in love with LaF all her life and not realize it. If she never got instant crushes, then she wouldn’t realize the feelings she had for LaFontaine weren’t just lifelong best friends feelings.
And while we’re on the subject, Carmilla is probably grayromantic. In three hundred years, despite having no doubt thousands of sexual partners, she’s fallen in love twice.
