Fun fact based off the results of the 2022 Ace Community Survey results almost HALF of asexuals Identify as aromantic. Hear that (almost) half, not the less than a quarter stat that was floating around from the 2014 version of the Survey. Why am I mentioning this? Because a lot of people specifically alloromantic aces have used the excuse that because aroaces/non alloromantic aces are a "minority" in the ace community, we shouldn't be represented, that what little rep we have is too much, that we're taking up too much space that we shouldn't be included in asexulity, that asexulity on its own should default to alloromantic etc because being a minority somehow means we shouldn't be allowed representation and advocacy.
So if you want to be aphobic/arophobic about the Icky aroaces "tainting" the perception of aces, the size of our population relative to the ace community is no longer an excuse! So best be open about your disgust and embarrassment at being associated with us instead of weaponising fake statistics ✌🏾
