I don't think people realize that asexuality and aromanticism, and sexuality and romanticism, are equally big things.

they are different faces of the same coin.

when we say asexuality/aromanticism are spectrums, we don't just mean its a cute little button on a sliding scale.

we mean that these things are big, that they contain multitudes in the same way that sexuality contains multitudes, that romanticism contains multitudes. there is science to be done inside of them, and poetry, and a greater range of experience than either of us can even start to fathom. there are differences, things that contradict one another, things that feel alien even though they exist on the same side of that same coin.

asexuality and aromanticism are just as big and vast and crazy as sexuality and romanticism
