If sexuality/romanticism was like the type of pizza you like cheese could boys pepperoni could be girls. Mushroom, bacon, peppers, etc. Could be nonbinary genders. If you're straight or gay you like either cheese or pepperoni. (Nblnb could be considered straight if they want so they'ed like only 1 topping not cheese or pepperoni.) If you're bi you like any two or more toppings. If you're pan you like any toppings. Any other multisexual/romantic people like different toppings of varying numbers. If your asexual/romantic you just don't like pizza at all no matter the toppings. Demi is like you only like pizza (toppings vary from person to person) from a specific place or made by a specific person only. Grayace/aro is like you don't eat pizza but one time you had the best pizza ever and it's the only pizza you've ever liked (toppings vary from person to person.) And like to separate sexuality and romanticism sexual attraction is triangle pieces and romantic attraction is square pieces. Because your sexuality and romanticism can be different. So if you're asked what type of pizza you like you can say I dont like any pizza and that's a valid pizza prefferance. Likewise if someone asks you your sexuality/romanticism saying you're asexual/aromantic is a valid sexuality/romanticism. Not liking any pizza is valid and not liking any genders sexualy, romantically, or both is also valid. Another example is atheism. Atheism is the lack of religion just like ace and aro are the lack of attractions. So if someone asks you your religion saying you're atheist is a valid response. You lack a religion like you could lack attraction. Same with agender, if you're asked your gender saying I'm agender/I dont have a gender is an acceptable valid response. Maybe those examples cleared some things up about asexuality and aromanticism.
