What I Read This Week Part: 3

1) Title: when you're doing all the leaving (then it's never your love lost) by tardigradeschool 

Summary:

Wei Wuxian barely makes a sound when Jin Zixun’s sword goes through his chest. A tiny noise is punched out of him — half gasp, half sigh. Jin Zixun, wearing that smirk that Lan Wangji has always hated, moves to pull the sword out.

This won’t do; Lan Wangji knows enough about battlefield medicine to understand the principle of keeping the weapon in the wound until a medic arrives. So he does the only thing that occurs to him in the moment, letting the momentum of flight be the force behind the swing; he cuts off Jin Zixun’s hand.

Lan Wangji goes with Wei Wuxian to his nephew's one-month celebration instead of Wen Ning. They still don't make it to the party.

Summary:

Summary: 

A few months into their stay at the Cloud Recesses, Wei Wuxian wakes up weird. He goes from bothering Lan Wangji incessantly to avoiding him completely, and from getting punished practically every day to being a model student. Jiang Cheng is willing to roll with it - although it is strange that Lan Wangji seems so very determined not to be ignored...

4) The Fault in Our Stars by Vamillepudding

Summary:

When he accidentally leaves his wallet at home, Lan Wangji, the only classical musician and composer who could actually boast of being famous on a global scale, is ready for the most embarrassing moment of his life. When the man behind him pays for him, he's ready to refuse any and all advances. Until it turns out that he doesn't know who Lan Wangji is.

Or: Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji are famous. They don't realise this about each other. Cue Lan Wangji desperately trying to be Wei Wuxian's sugar daddy while Wei Wuxian worries that Lan Wangji won't be able to make rent this month.

What I Read This Week Part: 2

1) Title:  and in the spring i shed my skin by wvlfqveen

Summary: 

 "Mr. Wei,” Lan Xichen greets, sounding amused. “To what do I owe the honour?”

“Do you happen to know where Lan Zhan is? I’m waiting for him in his classroom but he hasn’t come back and it looks like he left in a hurry. He even left one of his rabbits behind!” 

Lan Xichen says nothing for long enough that Wei Ying wonders if the line dropped. He glances at his phone. The call is still ongoing.

“He left one of his rabbits?”

Notes: this is a cute fluffy fic if y'all want something light hearted ♡

2) Title: one good thing by  Yuu_chi

Summary:

Wei Wuxian has been haunting his childhood home for three years. He's perfected the fine art of scaring away all the tenants, and has grown used to living with the dying flowers in the garden as his only company.

When Lan Wangji buys the house, Wei Wuxian fully intends to drive him off too. Except Lan Wangji is beautiful, and interesting, and captivating company - even if he supposedly doesn't know Wei Wuxian exists.

Summary:

Lan Zhan is not expecting to meet Wei Ying at 6.00am on Monday morning when a red and black blur shoots past him on his morning hike, whooping and tumbling down the slope on a child’s toboggan. The toboggan crashes to a halt in a drift a little way down the hill as Lan Zhan just stops and stares. The man stands, laughing loudly and brushing snow off his clothes, and even Lan Zhan recognises the ponytail and the bright smile from those infuriating The North Face ads looping everywhere.

Fic recs of everyone that participated in the wangxian fic exchange.

1) Loneliness Comes In Waves by @suicidalstan

Summary: 

There would be days, maybe even weeks, (Wei Ying couldn't be sure sometimes) where he felt as though he was stealing somebody else's life.

He thought that maybe, all this goodness in his life was not his to keep, it was meant for someone else and he was just keeping their side of the bed warm until they appeared.

He was sure Lan Wangji deserved better, deserved more.

Summary:

"Why won't you let me go?" Lan Zhan had tried to understand what was before him, staring him with so little lacklustre in their eyes. It was supposed to be Wei Ying, his Wei Ying. Summary: 

It's "Bring Your Parent to School Day" and Wei Wuxian couldn't be more excited! Lan Zhan is nervous, which is adorable.

The only thing more adorable, Wei Wuxian finds out, is that their eight-year-old son has a crush.

Summary:

He digs his fingers in harder, anchoring into the already red streaks on Wei Ying’s hips and thrusts forward roughly, drags the pliant body back into the rocking motion until their skin connecting smacks together louder than the pleasure-pain cry Wei Ying lets out against the pillow Lan Wangji has his face pressed into.
