The Ultimate Ambition Atla Au: (even abbreviates to aaa lol) aka AAA Atla:

An ambition (loosely based on girl meets world) avatar the last bender au:

Thanks to Maggie and Esther for choosing which benders the a class are, who would be the avatar, and the basic ideas they came up with!

Okay let’s get started:

Think of this AU as an Urban Fantasy Comedy Drama, in which magic coexists with the normal human world and takes place in modern times and the New York setting (unlike the atla world/ lore, but keeping the magic system of bending intact.)

In Manhattan, New York lies Abigail Adams Academy (or simply Adams)- a prestigious school for benders and non-benders alike; benders (water, earth, fire, and air) are trained to control their abilities while non-benders train in self-defense, weapons, science and technology, etc. While focusing on both magical and academic teachings, Adams is the pitstop for students who want to get involved in the political, magical, artistic, and technical aspects of the real world (basically trying to find your place in a world filled with magic). Although young and naive, the Adams’ students have an annoying sense of ambition and drive to pursue their future endeavours and are often clouded by that judgement. (“It's a clear sense of ambition to be something extraordinary, only for a dozen others to have that same drive; and do it better. It’s sad, but fun to watch!” -Lucas James Friar) If destiny is written, people have a purpose in their life. And the Avatar is proof of that statement.

The Avatar, happens once in a generation, is the master of all four bending elements (Water, Earth, Fire, and Air); and when they die, they are reincarnated into the next bender in the cycle. The Avatar is the chosen one. The in between of both magical and mundane. The Mediator of each elemental benders and non bender- to restore balance to the world and bring peace. Once the Avatar is found, they are trained by a bender in their respective element- following the order of the Avatar Cycle. The Avatar also gains the Avatar State- the ability to access their past lives for their wisdom and power. In the Avatar State, they are at their most powerful and vulnerable, if killed in the Avatar State- the cycle breaks forever. It's been 16 years since the death of the previous Avatar, and there hasn't been a sign of the next Avatar- who’s supposedly an airbender. Until Adams’ newest student, Dylan Orlando, arrives. Dylan tries to navigate the insane world of Adams and master all 4 elements, while threats start creeping in. Lucky for him, he’s not alone, he has a team to guide him through his journey. His Team Avatar (in order of photos above):

Lucas Friar: Non-Bender, Swordsmanship, Weapon Making/ Handling, Fight Combat, He’s also very good with animals (both normal and magical)

Riley Matthews: Waterbender (her mom’s side are Waterbenders, her dad’s side are Earthbenders), Healing, Bloodbending (she learned the technique to save her friends, but now she refuses to use it ever again)

Isadora ‘Smackle’ De La Cruz: Earthbender, Metalbending, (she’s the first to discover this ability)

Asher Garica: Firebender, Lighting redirection, Drawing-(Asher doesn't use his fire bending at first, because of his anxiety and fear he can't control his abilities. A way to ‘control’ it is to wear fireproof gloves and draws to calm his nerves), Minor weapons handling (thanks to Lucas)

Dylan Orlando: Airbender, Waterbending, Earthbending, Firebending, Avatar State, Agility (He’s quick on his feet and par takes in backflips and cartwheels any chance he gets). He also has an animal guide, a English sheepdog (kinda like the Appa to Aang)

Team Avatar will also include the Four Elements Crew (Techie Crew) (Dave-Earth, Nate-Fire, Jade-Non-Bender, and Jeff- Water as the AU process Nigel- Air is added cause he’s become a in law like Riley). Once it’s known that Dylan is the Avatar, 2 key Adams Administrators come to assist the gang- Head of Adams Jack Hunter and Guidance Counselor and Riley's Earthbender uncle Eric Matthews

● Jack Hunter: Non-Bender, Principal of Adams Academy, Swordsmanship, Weapons handling/ making, Fight Combat (He teaches these skills to Lucas so he can defend himself )

● Eric Matthews: Earthbender, Guidance Counselor and Assistant Principal of Adams, Riley’s uncle (he teaches his earth bending techniques to Isadora)

Do Dylan and Asher's parents know that they're dating? If they do, what was it like telling them? Where they accepting right away or did they need some time?

at this point in the show, they do, since dasher have been dating since the first semester of freshman year, and by now they’re all like family friends and really get on. when they started dating they were both already out to their parents so that wasn’t an issue, and you better believe Dylan was updating his dad EVERY day on what was happening with asher. His dad doesn’t understand most of what Dylan talks about from school but having a crush on someone? that he can get. so when Dylan comes home one day and is like “ASHER AND ME ARE GOING ON A DATE” or “WE’RE BOYFRIENDS NOW”, his dad is super supportive and cheering him on, and when he first meets Asher he’s just like “hello asher welcome to our home, would you like anything to eat or drink?” and it’s all really chill.

Asher kept Dylan a secret from his parents for a bit longer, not bc they’re not supportive of him, they totally are, but just bc he’s worried about what they’ll think of Dylan. Once ashers mum came to terms with Asher being gay and got her head around that, she went into “we have to find you the perfect boy” mode so she’s quite picky and ashers worried about that. But when he does eventually bring Dylan home to meet the parents, it turns out ok. At first his mum was just kind of like.... analysing Dylan, watching his every move, so ashers sitting in the corner like sweating lmao. Ashers dad comes around quicker to Dylan than his mum, who at first thinks that Dylan isn’t good enough for Asher, but after she sees how much they love each other she accepts him and he’s officially part of the Garcia fam.

Also after Asher’s mum finds out that Dylan’s mum died when he was little she basically adopts Dylan and his younger brother and becomes a second mum to them

WILL WE EVER GET A HAPPILY EVER AFTER? | THE PROTAGONIST TEN:

Meet the ten protagonists of The Will We Ever Get A Happily Ever After concept AU:

RILEY MATTHEWS: the new student at Adams who is the reincarnation of Cinderella and possesses fairy godmother’s magic. She is trying to find her place in the ranks of Adams, while trying to fulfill her destiny.

LUCAS FRIAR: a student at Adams, who is neither a fairy tale reincarnation or a magic user. He is head of the ordinary clan (similar to the techies in @/ambitionsource)- who are ordinary fairy tale reincarnations without magical abilities or deemed “supporting cast” to protagonists (performers). 

MAYA HART: a student at Adams, who is the reincarnation of the Evil Queen- she’s Adams’ main antagonist and a talented magic user. She is ambitious in fulfilling her destiny- without any mishaps, no dancing to death in red hot iron shoes for her. She is considered to be Riley’s ‘rival.’

ISADORA DE LA CRUZ: a student at Adams who is the reincarnation of Red Riding Hood. She is also Lucas’s best friend and pseudo sister. She’s bossy and wants to maintain control over everything to get work done. Isadora hates being a damsel in distress.

FARKLE MINKUS: a student at Adams who is the reincarnation of Briar Rose (sleeping beauty). Farkle is usually in the background of the chaos in Adams, and is always tired. He spends his times in the science lab or in the library.

ZAY BABINEAUX: a student at Adams who is the reincarnation of the piped piper. He’s an inspiring musician and dancer, able to play any instrument and perform any genre of music. Zay is more of a go with the flow type of guy.

ASHER GARICA: the reincarnation of Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Dylan’s boyfriend. Because he’s the reincarnation of Alice, Asher can see things that no one- even reincarnations- can (something called looking glass).

DYLAN ORLANDO: the reincarnation of the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. Asher’s boyfriend. He has a magical hat that can fit anything and can hear people’s narrations (sort of like an telepath). 

CHARLIE GARDENER: one of many Prince Charming reincarnations (specifically in the cinderella story). Charlie is trained to protect ‘damsels’ and serve his purpose as a prince. He is also Adams’ ‘dream prince.’

ELLIOT MATTHEWS: Riley’s older brother who isn’t a fairy tale reincarnation (like Lucas). Elliot tried to adjust to Adams, while desiring normality. He also is excellent at fix broken machines and gadgets.

GMW SHADOWHUNTER AU: 

Set in the Victorian era in New York, with a mixture of dark academia and steampunk. This concept au will follow Riley Matthews who lives with her uncle Eric and his husband Jack Hunter- both are shadowhunters. Both Eric and Jack have left their shadow world lives, in order to be together and live like mudanes. However her world is changes when she accidentally unlocks her warlock abilities when she encounters vampires, and meets 3 shadowhunters: Lucas Friar, Asher Garica, and Dylan Orlando. Relying on their help, so she and her mundane friends survive the dangerous world she now lives in.
