Your Ship and How they Sleep: Merrier edition

How often do they sleep together?

Pretty much every night since Merrill and Asher's first night together. As of Veilguard they have slept so often at each other's side that not having the other sleeping next to them makes them both struggle to fall asleep.

Where do they sleep?

In the beginning, Merrill does not stay very often at the Amell estate because she is still hesitant about how people may react, so Asher escorts her to the estate at night so that she can sleep in the estate. Sometimes though, Merrill feels she would prefer to sleep at her home in the alienage, and Asher usually tries to male the best of it despite his size compared to her bed. After Inquisition, they move to a small cottage on the outskirts of the forest of Kirkwall they naturally sleep there.

How do they prepare to sleep?

Asher has a pretty complicated hair routine he has adopted as his hair grew longer (these luscious red locks are surprisingly high maintenance), and whenever the two sleep in the Amell estate/cottage, the two like to bathe together. Merrill takes delight in all the different shampoos and soaps and their fragrances.

What do they wear to sleep?

Asher generally prefers to sleep shirtless with a pair of comfortable pants on. Merrill used to sleep in her undergarments alone until she discovered silk pajamas existed.

Do they cuddle?

Oh absolutely. Asher is a hugger in general, but especially when sleeping, he likes to hug the nearest object. His dog, a pillow, his amazing and beautiful wife.

What are their preferred sleeping positions?

Their go to is Asher sleeping on his back and Merrill laying on top of him, head resting on his chest. He finds Merrill's weight on top of him comforting, and it was often convenient when Asher slept over at the alienage. They also love to spoon each other. Asher is usually the big spoon but he enjoys being the little in Merrill's jetpack big spoon.

How easy do they fall asleep?

Alone, sleep doesn't come easy to either of them because of overthinking. Asher about all the burdens he carries and the wellbeing of his loved ones, Merrill about her past mistakes and whether she is still a good person. Together, in each other's presence, sleep comes easier to both of them, although Merrill will usually be the first to fall asleep.

Do they toss and turn a lot?

Not so much Merrill, but Asher did before the two slept together, he has been a lot more careful about tossing and turning.

Do they snore?

Asher snores. And sometimes it wakes Merrill up combined with Lucky the Mabari's snoring.

Who hogs the blankets?

Technically Merrill because she gets cold easily, but when she discovers Asher is a running heater, she doesn't hog the blankets as much.

What do they dream about

Asher has a tendency to suffer from nightmares, especially as the events of the games go on. Much of his dreams are about losing his loved ones- from those he had already lost- Carver, Malcolm, Leandra- to those who are still here- Bethany, Merrill, his children. Merrill has also had her fair share of nightmares, often about her clan or Asher rejecting her, or her in danger and Asher refusing to save her.

How easily do they wake up?

Merrill is a bit of a morning person, so she gets up quite easily. Asher, on the other hand, needs a bit of time to recooperate himself. He would sometimes hug Merrill as she wakes up, begging her to stay with him. It's only on lazy days with the two of them where they get that opportunity.

How awake are they afterwards?

Once Asher gets out of bed, and maybe has a cup of coffee and breakfast along with Merrill and her tea, both are fairly energetic and ready to conquer whatever the day lies in store.

1. A little-known talent of your SoSu?She’s a dancer! She’s a very talented dancer and she taught dance to young kids after she left the military.2. What trait does your SoSu like best about themselves? (Eyes, guitar skills, random prewar facts, etc)Asher actually likes how strong she is because she gets to save lots of people. She also thinks her hair is pretty nice.

3. Bedroll on the side of the road, or wait until a settlement to rest?This bitch’ll fall asleep where ever she can comfortably faceplant don’t count on her to not fall asleep standing up.4. Is your SoSu good at keeping secrets?Kinda! Depends on the secret. Deep darks she’s good with carrying, unless your deep dark is ‘i raped someone’, then ur dead.5. Your SoSu’s worst habit?She has a few, to pick one I’d say feeling like she has to save the whole wasteland and if she doesn’t do it singlehandedly, she’ll have failed. Preston can relate, and they’re good friends who look out for each other bc of it. She also has develops a psycho habit after a while, and picks smoking back up. Both of those are terribly hard for her to kick.

7. What is your SoSu’s opinion on body modifications?

She has several piercings and tattoos, because she also has several bad body scars and wanted to combat that. So she’s 100% game.

15. Something that grosses your SS out?

She hated Salisbury Steak before the war, she hates it now, she hated beans before the war, she hates them now, and she is perpetually disgusted that people will continue to eat them. Also? Gage. He looks like he freely picks his nose and she’s not game for that, no matter how fond of him she eventually becomes.

OC Tag Game

Favorite OC: My favourites continuously change for various. Maybe their a new oc, maybe they just bring me comfort. I can't always decide on one.

Newest OC: Nolee. She's going to be my player character for Baldur's gate 3

Oldest OC: Tari, my apprentice for the Arcana game. I do miss posting about her sometimes.

Meanest OC: It's a toss up between Mara Tabris and Lysander. Mara is usually outspoken so sometimes she says whatever is on her mind. Lysander does not like people.

Softest OC:  Tari. She's a healer proficient in light magic. She's incredibly kind and cheerful. She's got a sweet tooth and cries when being yelled at.

Most Aloof/Standoffish OC: Valona Lavellan. Due to her magic, the trauma of her sisters leaving her and her struggles with perfectionism, she can come off as reserved and cold.

Dumbest (Affectionate) OC: Asher Hawke. This boy is not the brightest staff in the circle, but he makes up for it with his sweet personality.

Smartest OC: A toss up between Valona and Lysander. Valona spends all her free time studying, and Lysander is the prodigy son of one of the most prominent magician families in his home countries.

OC I’d Be Friends With: A lot of my oc's would try to be friends with me. Asher and Tari would try to get me involved in conversations and activities, Nolee would be such a comforting ear to confide in, and Buyi is just a fun person to hang around.
