Progress is progress.
I saw this post today and it got me thinking. Upon reading it, my first visualization was a party full of drunk people (having the fun) and then two sober girls in the corner laughing at the drunk people acting a fool (having a different kind of fun). And then my brain kind of went “no that’s not what that means.” And then I started to think about it more. To me it means find something to find joy in, hopefully not at the expense of others, and let that be your happiness even if it’s not the same as other people’s happiness. So then my brain switched it to the same scenario, but finding happiness in the music, or decorations, or just genuinely being happy that everyone else was having fun, even if they weren’t having that fun
A little extra positivity today. Believe everything will work out and it will. Do what you need to do for you and no one else.
Continued growth
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I’m the type of person that once I see progress, I let up in my efforts. My thought process is usually “there’s a change, that was hard work, relax” and then I just never pick back up on the hard work. One thing I find difficult is the will to get up and go again. Or perhaps the self discipline to not give myself a “break” in the first place.
I think I just had a revelation 🤘🏽
New beginnings
I’ve recently started a journey to becoming more mindful and more self aware. I’ve been looking at some motivational speakers and the similar. One I really like is Tom Bilyeu, I like watching impact theory, and then I get a lot of clarity moments from him and the way he explains things. And a lot of new speakers to look to.
Today I watched two episodes and the second was about pain and accepting pain and using it to your advantage opposed to letting it hinder you. I do have trouble with that a lot. The gentleman on the show with him said he used physical pain as a mental tool, he would go to the edge and back over and over to build himself mentally. This is a lot harder than it sounds, and I’m realizing that I shy away from pain a lot more often than most. I avoid difficult conversations with certain people and topics that I’m not comfortable talking about. I’m not sure how to change this yet. But I’m going to get there. I refuse to stagnate. I will evolve, and I am most likely going to use this page as a tool to reflect and learn and track growth. I hope I have an impact on anyone keeping up. Always open to conversations and new ideas.
