A short, mid-day thought: Jewish tradition invites simple gratitude every afternoon. Mincha begins with "אַ֭שְׁרֵי יוֹשְׁבֵ֣י בֵיתֶ֑ךָ ע֝֗וֹד יְֽהַלְל֥וּךָ סֶּֽלָה׃ Happy are those who dwell in Your house; they forever praise You. The Hebrew acrostic I’m most familiar with is the Ashrei, which is a joyful poem. Then when I read Lamentations/Megiles Eykhe, I start to realize the versatility of the form
