Ashwick (Secondary Project, WIP)
You guys know what time it is... Cy has a new story and it’s time to introduce you all to it. (This story will be written in Twine, so bare with me if all the things offered are not immediately available, given it’s a new coding language I’m still learning!)
Welcome... to Ashwick.
The Blurb:
10 years ago, my grandmother passed away and left me her home in my home town of Ashwick. I finally decided to move back after living so many years away, needing something new in my stagnating life. And, Ashwick has delivered… but maybe not in the way I imagined.
Within a month of my return, strange disappearances began in the ash wood forest surrounding the town, from the normal humans who live here to some of the older supernaturals. The strangest part: they eventually reappear, for the most part, but… different. Most of the lost come out confused with torn clothing and little else on them. Others act similarly, but lash out when approached. In the three months I've been back home, it's steadily worsened until even my friend Madeleine ended up as one of the missing… and returned.
I've decided to try to figure out what's going on, and why it all seems coincidental to me returning, strange newcomers in town… and finding some strange relics left in my grandmother's home.

In Ashwick, you’ll be playing the heir to the Nash family, one of the original families to settle the town. After being away most of your life and only visiting in the summers up until your grandmother passed, it’s taking some getting used to... restarting your life, the strangeness of the Ashwick Forest, and the happenings of the town itself.
There will be many different options as far as who your Nash is (from your pronouns to your gender, sexuality, race, and even down to how you decorate your home), which secondary plotline(s) you’ll chase after when your investigation into the forest hits road blocks, and maybe you’ll even pull in someone other than your friend Ariel to face the strange occurrences in Ashwick with...

if i did do a scenario with any of the 5 known ROs in Ashwick, who would yall want to see? it’s just for fun, given it’s gonna be a bit before chapter 1 is finished and y’all seem really interested in the Ashwick ROs!
i chuckle every time i hear michael jackson in my head when my eyes look over this rogjerogerjog
Alright, folks, I’ve had some thoughts.
I realize Twine is quite an undertaking, and I think I bit off a bit more than I could chew by decided to make a super complex, big game in it as my first official project. Me thinks that was a VERY bad decision on my behalf.
So, I will let Ashwick roll around in my brain for a bit longer, and instead make a smaller project to basically be my instrument to learning Twine. ASHWICK WILL STILL BE MY ACTUAL SECONDARY PROJECT!!! Ashwick is not going anywhere. This is not me starting 4 projects and then setting them aside. I’ve just realized there are consequences to my actions and I really need to backpedal before I sink a project that has a lot of potential.
And, of course, MG:T is still the main project. That B is going nowhere, and I’m still very actively writing it ^^ CS is smth I know like the back of my hand and so is the story for MG:T, so it’s not like I need as much brain power for it.
As far as this Let’s Learn Twine Project goes, it is gonna still be like an ACTUAL game. I still have to learn how to effectively use Twine and it’s language stuff. It’s just it’s gonna be a bit more railroaded than my other projects. There’s still gonna be romance options, I’ll be using one of my favorite settings that I see in shows and read in books, and when I have it fully worked out, I’ll drop some info on it here!
Again, this is not me giving up on Ashwick, just realizing I need to take the time to learn before doing such a big project that I’m gonna have to go back through and mess with to the extent I already need to given I’ve already fucked a fair bit of the coding out of what I’ve gotten done LMAO
ok, I feel better after getting this off my chest. See y’all soon when I got a status report LMAO
Weekly Update for 22 May, 2022
Hey, gamers! Welcome back to the weekly update!
I’ve got nothing much I can tell you, other than I’ve gotten work on both Ashwick and MG:T done this week! I’m almost done with the first really big branch in Ashwick, and I’m moving into a fun side scene with Sylvia in MG:T.
I... I will say that two of the three jobs lead to a very thirst-filled intro, because... because... reason.s......... I feel like it’s gonna be loading my inbox with messages once Chapter 1 is out LMAO
