One of the biggest trends of 2016 begins to peek from top-tier sneaker brands.
We’ve collected (and ranked) marble-textured footwear so you can easily prioritize what your next paycheck will be spent on:
Converse First String Chuck Taylor All Star II “Marble” Pack
Thanks to Hypebeast, Converse unveils its first premium First String line. Not only does marble texture appear, but also reflective shoelaces (in case you don’t regularly follow sneakers, the finish made headlines last year with several designs sporting the material) and the comfiest Lunarlon cushioning. The colors don’t mesh as well as we would hope on a canvas, which dropped the rankings. Based on first glance, the Converse looks tie-dyed.
The drop will happen on January 15.
Adidas Originals Tubular Runner “Marble” Pack
If you remember our Tubular vs. Roshe piece from last year, then you already know how we feel about the two competing structures from the biggest players. Originally shared at the end of 2015, Adidas releases more marble flavors on the soles of its famed shoe. You can find colorways in white, grey and black. Pacsun, recently selling Adidas products in its stores worldwide, also offers a more likeable marble-covered Tubular for women. Our only fault, this silhouette is played out. We hope for a marble Ultra Boost in the near future.
Balenciaga Marble-Print Leather Sneakers
In this case, when you pay for premium, you get premium. European high-end fashion brand launches a low-top design ideal for a pinch of casual to a formal outfit. These babies don’t come cheap though, as they’re priced at $625 USD. If you regularly sport high-tops, there are still a few sizes left on Balenciaga’s online store.
ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Marble” Pack
These are undeniably the must-buy sneaker of the season. The classic ASICS sneaker tailors to the shoe’s hype and the beauty of the pattern. While at times it might appear paint-splattered, rather than the mineral, we believe that more is less (yes, not less is more) when it comes to sporting eye-catching shoes.
Perhaps we’ll even see more updates later this month.
