Brew-at-Home Yaupon Herbal Blends Coming Soon!!
This Summer Asi Tea will have 4 new organic blends coming out in tea bags in addition to the traditional Yaupon Tea, but we don’t want to reveal all of them too soon...
Here’s a sneak preview of the early recipe experiments of the blend we are dubbing “Flower Power” so YUM!
“Ahh, I see...It’s pronounced ah-si: Asi Tea”
The Native peoples who lived in the southeastern region of North America referred to the Yaupon Holly as “Asi” which meant “The Purifier.”
When you really get to know the plant and its effects as a tea, you might start to think the Natives were actually anticipating us English-speakers saying “Ahh…I see, Ah see” as we came to realize Yaupon’s potential.
A 2009 Texas A&M study found that Yaupon Holly can offer 50-100% of the antioxidant benefits of green tea,
Antioxidants are your body’s way of providing cells with a defense against exposure to everyday toxins that cause the production of free radicals.
Free radicals can damage your DNA by disrupting DNA duplication and maintenance and have been linked to such illnesses as Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, arthritis and diabetes.
