How's it feel? To be in this world, and to see that you are so, so loved? Does it feel strange to see fanart of yourself, or does it bring you a kind of euphoria? Or does it repulse you?
This question is for all Fictives of all sources.
Mod answer below.
Klaus: Hi. Klaus Hargreeves - The Umbrella Academy fictive here. Its not that simple as to be loved, for me. There's people who like me. But there's also a lot of people who hate me. It feels sometimes like both parties infantilize me and mock me for being a traumatized mentally ill person.
Caine: [The Amazing Digital Circus] Hm? Oh, I didn't see you there, my porus blueberry! Being a fictive is. Hmmmmm. The love is amazing. But a lot of people don't like me for some reason.
Anne: [Raggedy Ann and Annabelle Doll] :) People love me. I'm the best because I'm a cute doll. Yay. Yippee.
Yoooooo all my plural / multiple / systems out there that are also otherkin
How the fuck do we tell apart fictives & fictionkins
Like we got this one entity up here, been here since we were like 5 years old (maybe even longer). And like, when we were watching this one show a year ago, they had like, a really weird & really strong connection to this one character in the show (idk how to explain I'm not them & they're asleep)
They're unsure if they could call themselves a fictive or fictionkin
And while we were watching the show, another entity came into existence that basically saw themselves as said character. (pretty sure we have multiple of those up here but like not gonna talk about that rn (again I'm not this person idk I think they're just dormant rn))
How the fuck do we tell apart fictives & fictionkins
edit: they didn’t mean “dormant” moreso just asleep
Hey there! I’m writing a fictional character who’s part of a dissociative system, and I want to get it right. I’m doing research to portray switching, co-fronting, and the inner experience of alters in a respectful, grounded way.
If you’re a system and feel safe/comfortable answering a few questions (either anonymously or privately), I’d love to hear from you. I’m not looking to write trauma porn — I’m invested in portraying a complex, cared-for character and making sure I don’t fall into harmful tropes.
Happy to chat through DMs or asks — whatever’s easiest for you. Thanks so much for reading this. 💖

[PHOTO ID: an infographic-style image, with the text: "What is plurality? Plural/system: neurodivergency. A plural/system is an individual with multiple identity states and/or separate personalities (called alters, headmates, etc.) within them, which may or may not be disordered (i.e. DID, OSDD, etc.), comorbid with mental illness (i.e. cPTSD, NPD, BPD, etc.) and/or exist alongside other neurodivergencies (i.e. autism, ADHD). Someone may use this label for a plethora of reasons." Subtext reads: "Need some education? Read the sources attached below! blyandco.wordpress.com"]

Hi, this is kinda important if anyone can help. Long term relationship is on the line. Does anyone know any resources explaining plurality in Spanish, or is anyone bilingual enough to help me educate my girlfriend of 4 months? She lives in Mexico, I'm in Canada, and neither of us are bilingual. We make do pretty great with google translate and creativity, but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to explain things through translation now that my system is becoming active again (we were dualconscious for almost a year). She's doing her best to be understanding, but I have no idea how to give her the full rundown on systems when I don't speak her language. I don't want our language barrier to stop us from communicating through this, so I need some help. Any advice is appreciated
