What if Coin banned Katniss from training for the battle of the capitol, she is stuck in 13 with hijacked Peeta, how do you see this scenario playing out

Thanks for asking! I think it would have had quite the impact on the story, by setting a number of actions into motion and possibly changing the ending of the whole series.
First of all, if Katniss never got into training, I don’t see her going to the Capitol with the 451 Star Squad alongside Gale, Finnick etc at all. Sure, she snuck onto the hovercraft unnoticed in the movie but I think anyone who’s read the book agrees that it wouldn’t be possible given what a high security fortress District 13 is.
So yeah, she’d be “stuck in 13 with hijacked Peeta” and initially I think Katniss’s (inner) emotional response would be like a raccoon trapped in a trash bag and she’d waste a lot of time being angry with Peeta, ignoring him, never coming to visit, while simultaneously obsessing over the old vs new Peeta, daydreaming about killing bastard Snow, thinking “What ifs” and jumping from one emotion to the next. Hating Peeta, blaming herself, mourning Peeta, being worried for Gale, Finnick and gang, missing Peeta, feeling utterly hopeless, aching for Peeta etc etc etc.
But remember, in District 13 she also has people like Haymitch, Prim, Delly and even Annie and Johanna.
I think that, eventually, some things that we know from the book would still happen, only in the ”calmer” surroundings of D13. Haymitch will finally cuff Katniss round the ear and tell her his “If you were hijacked and tried to kill Peeta is this the way he’d be treating YOU?” speech and Prim I bet visits Peeta at the hospital regularly (supervised by Haymitch and guards) even though she hasn’t told her sister yet. And when Katniss finally finds out and asks what Prim thinks, her little sister gets through to her just like Haymitch did before. Tells her that Peeta’s just lost in his head after what the Capitol did to him and that it’s not his fault.
Katniss of course is heartbroken and crestfallen and she doesn’t know what to do, thinking she’ll only make everything worse anyway so she ends up stalling and spends a lot of time with Delly, Annie and Johanna instead, the latter still recovering at the hospital after her breakdown during the final training test.
And those three, all in their own way, tries to help the situation too and I think Katniss will eventually get to know Annie, Delly and Johanna better. Their past lives. Who they were, who they really are. Especially Johanna. Katniss might even get to find out about Annie’s early pregnancy at some point - which of course gives her a lot of thinking too. About the future of this baby whose father fights in the Capitol right now.
Eventually Katniss visits Peeta again, properly, and one visit becomes several and she uses the tools if you will, provided by Haymitch, Prim, Delly, Johanna and Annie to try and help Peeta.
Prim comes up with the Real or not real-game and as Peeta gets better he’s allowed to go other places than the hospital (under heavy guard of course). To the kitchen maybe, along with Delly, where they bake together and talk. Maybe the hummingbird room with Prim who tells him stories about Lady and Buttercup. And to Haymitch’s sort of cleaned up room where they play several games of chess.
Eventually Haymitch comes up with and authorizes the idea of trying to let Peeta (and guards) be outside for like half an hour during sunset and since this visibly calms Peeta, he gets to do this every evening, alongside one or two of the people who cares about him, until finally it’s all of them together under the pink and orange sky. Katniss, Peeta, Prim, Haymitch, Delly, Annie and Johanna.
And Buttercup too, because to everyone’s surprise he always shows up and jumps onto Peeta’s lap where he falls asleep instantly. Peeta pets him while he asks his questions and some of the conversations that would have taken place in the 451 camp over at the Capitol, now takes place under an orange sunset sky outside D13.
Peeta gets to know what’s really happening and what’s happened to him, the others share bits of who they are - even Haymitch and Johanna - so he can remember and even get to know them better. Katniss delves into why she loves green so much, maybe shares a memory of her father. Delly reminds him of a childhood adventure they once had while playing one afternoon. Peeta gets to know about the baby from Annie. A baby who might be one of the first children in a generation who won’t ever have to fear the games.
So yeah, I think Peeta’s healing process would have been a thousand times more peaceful and faster, had he been “stuck in 13 with Katniss 😉” and sweet Prim would have probably never died (a slim chance for Finnick too) because I don’t see her leaving for the Capitol without Katniss knowing and I don’t think Coin would succeed in manipulating Prim into not telling Katniss “for Katniss’s own good” either.
But here’s when things take a turn for the worse. Because without sweet Prim dying there’s a very real possibility that Katniss wouldn’t ever get the chance to kill Coin. To stop her from stepping into Snow’s shoes and seizing full control of Panem. So yeah, Katniss would get to live a life with her sister in it but the Games would have also continued - only this time with the Capitol’s children in the arena.
