“as much as i love and support yim, i cant really understand why they put so much professional language intheir stories and make choices based on it. it suffocated you as the player. even with the pop-ups it does not make things easier and you cant just start code blue right after an update because you WILL fuck up because you(an average player) dont know anything about operations. same thing was in hhw when in the first episode you race with sunny, how am i supposed to know all of this to win”
THE RC MEDICAL DRAMA IS WRITTEN BY YIM WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK EVERYONE
For those who don't know, they also wrote Hell and High Water, arguably one of the stories on the app! I find their characters really relatable, and HHW did a good job balancing high-stakes tension with cosy "everyday" moments. (plus if HHW's boat talk is anything to go by, Code Blue will hopefully be well-researched from a medical standpoint)
Apparently, a Code Blue is shorthand for a medical emergency (most common example being cardiac arrest.) Depending on the hospital, there might be a dedicated team to deal with a Code Blue, or everyone within a specific radius has to report to the emergency. [IHM Australia]
In the first photo, many have noticed the RC posters in the background. In this shot, W: Time Catcher and The Missing are visible. There was also one of And the Haze Will Take Us and maybe others that I can’t remember. Dr. Cool’s shirt also has a reference to Heaven’s Secret.
Then I noticed in the CG with Jules and Kenedi that Jules’ cell phone case has a pic of Baku, the little otter from Hell and High Water (Yim’s other book). That’s such a cute little surprise!
I hope Yim keeps surprising us with these little nods. 😁
