hi, sorry if this is weird to send as an ask, i saw your reblog on catboybiologist's post and i want to say thank you because ive seen so much bigotry aimed at trans men + transmascs and if anyone tries to stand up for themselves and others it's seen as confirmation of the things being said, like here claiming that you're playing the victim and that you're a massive misogynist etc. your response extends so much grace to her but she responded in such bad faith and refuses to acknowledge essentially any of what you really said

and sure tumblr (and twitter) has a massive transandrophobia issue (which in of itself is a problem, even if its just a loud minority of people online), but that doesn't mean that it isn't an irl problem as well. just because she hasn't seen it or experienced it herself doesn't mean it doesn't exist? and also the fact that transandrophobia isn't acknowledged as an issue is a huge part of the issue as well?
sorry that this is kind of ramble-y and poorly structured, i'm very tired. basically thank you for speaking even though people have been so hateful in response. it really means a lot to me to see someone standing up for us,

Not least because the idea that transmascs are all evil ISN'T the majority opinion among trans women. It genuine is the 1% of the 1% of the obnoxious bigots being really loud.
