You said you’d visit certain places and start school and buy certain things but you never do. You seem to do the opposite like moving and getting a tattoo and buying other things. Is this intentional or you just don’t want to do certain things anymore? I don’t mean to be critical this is all from observation from the few posts I see past by my timeline. Hope it’s okay to ask!
Well, I can’t exactly go anywhere right now 🤷♂️ for moving, they’ve all kinda been necessary? Like whoever I was sharing a place with, was going to get a place with their S/O and I couldn’t afford the whole thing on my own, so unfortunately with that I haven’t had very much a choice over the last 2 years
For buying things, like one of my main goals in that aspect has been a car! Which I can afford! It’s the insurance that keeps getting me. Idk about where you live, but in my province, car insurance is ridiculously expensive. That and, between moving and having to get a new job almost every time, I don’t always get enough hours to afford that. Not after rent, groceries and bills. While I always make sure I have money leftover after everything, I’m not exactly willing to completely wipe out my bank account over a car 🤷♂️
And for the tattoo I just got, that was paid for purely by Christmas and birthday money! I didn’t pay a thing for it out of my own account, which is exactly why I got it! (Plus my artists is really cost friendly and none of the tattoos I’ve gotten have been over $115 anyway!)
School wise, I actually DID change my mind! I’ve decided that, for one thing- nothing jumps out at me enough to wanna spend like $20k on, plain and simple. I’ll see something that’s appealing for a few months but nothing longer than that. I’m certainly not about to put myself In massive debt just for a societal pressure to go to post secondary (hopefully that doesn’t sound like I’m snarking at you, I’m not) and for another thing- really all I’ve ever wanted out of life, is to have a job I enjoy (check!) that pays enough/gives me enough hours that I can pay for everything I need and still enjoy the occasional treat (check!) with people I like! (Again, check) as long as I have all that? That’s really all I want and need! If I ever decide I want something more, I’ll cross that bridge when/if I find myself at it!
Honestly a good chunk of it has been just, things not panning out the way I’d hoped or thought they would. Some of which has been my own fault! Some, circumstantial 🤷♂️
Is there something to help cheer you up? Wanna talk about what you’re going through? Letting your emotions out will always help. It never solves anything by keeping them bottled up
Actually, I just had a close friend drop off a huge bag full of snacks, a journal, pens, pencil crayons, a colouring book, a really nice smelling candle, a VERY soft beanie, and a cute squishy dog and squishy poop plushy 😂 and that really helped a lot 💙
