tbh i think their friendship was always a little complicated from an outside perspective (they are really weirdly close even by hockey guy standards) (not willmack close but still), but i think they get each other enough to uncomplicate it! Holly being thrown into the mix is like oh yay new boy toy! and now they get to teach him asl and secret handshakes.
RPF wise i think joel would be a lil nervy about everything and get kinda jealous and poseesive at first before they work everything out (bc holly got closer to jake first being centers yk?) but then theyre all happy and they dog pile on top of jake every night and theyre both super helpful with this rough patch that hofs goal tending is going through!
