3 for the Warriors ask game?
3. should hollyleaf have had a power?
Yes!! The fact that the only reason she never got one is because the Erins could not think of one at the time is such a rip off. I think it could have been neat to explore a dynamic where one sibling doesn’t have a power but the others do, kind of like what happened with Dovewing and Ivypool, but that didn’t happen at all with Hollyleaf, they just wrote her out completely and it’s very disappointing.
The “Hollyleaf should have had a power” argument has been made a lot and there’s a lot better explanations as to why online elsewhere that anyone could probably find, but I will put my vote in that the fan idea of Hollyleaf’s power having to do with making people speak the truth is very cool.
However, I will add to the argument that regardless of whatever Hollyleaf’s power could have been, it would have been better than Dovewing having a power. Nothing against Dovewing as a character, but she is too many “kins” estranged from the “kin of your kin” part of the prophecy to fit. “But the specific number doesn’t matter!” you may say, but everything else suggests that it matters a lot! So many times whenever the prophecy is mentioned it specifies how the three will be related to Firestar. Cloudtail is actually the other relative of Firestar that fits “kin of your kin” (Cloudtail is Princess’s kin who is Firestar’s kin), not Dovewing (Dovewing is Whitewing’s kin who is Cloudtail’s kin who is Princess’s kin who is Firestar’s kin).
Anyway, Hollyleaf should have had a power, or at the very least I think that an AU where Cloudtail is the third would be incredibly funny.
For the ask meme, I’d say your art is pretty recognizable! Some traits that stand out include your stylization of characters, such as giving Linn from your Asking Paradise marks indicating where whiskers would be. Another trait is your very natural way of character poses. I just find it very easy to picture them in relation to wherever they’re standing.
Oh thank you!! Both of those are traits that I've been wanting to be clear in my art, so I'm glad to hear that they're recognizable!
2 and 7 for the pmd asks!
2. favorite one of the game youve played?
I really enjoy Gates to Infinity even if I actually haven’t finished playing the game yet whoops!! I love the story and all the characters, and while the AI can be a bit weird, the gameplay is still pretty fun for me.
7. how do you interpret the future trios relationships to each other?
Oh hmm, this is actually a bit tricky.
In Galaxies Above, I displayed that Grovyle (Alex) and Celebi (Ceebee) never have and never really will like Dusknoir much, and Dusknoir starts out hating them too but as he grows to become better he starts seeing them more in a neutral to positive way. Meanwhile, Celebi has a small crush on Grovyle, but he sees them as just friends.
But the story of GA is different than in the canon games, so I would interpret the canon future trio a bit differently.
It seems fairly clear in the games that Celebi does have a crush on Grovyle, though personally while the ship can be cute, I am torn on whether or not I ship them; frankly I don’t think I really ship any of the future trio, but the art and stuff I do see for it is really cute. They’re definitely chaotic ride or die friends though. I figure that in the post-game, Dusknoir takes on a bit of a fatherly role to the other two, while at the same time being kind of a rival to Grovyle. The trio bickers a lot, but it’s all friendly, usually, at least. I figure that they sometimes get into their fair share of arguments, especially considering their history, but they work it out together. They could probably get into some good debates.
You have been a staple in my tumblr for as long as I can remember and it’s insane to see your page because it’s barely changed!! You’re like a memory packed gift?? I love to see you on my dash!! I’m pretty sure we’re not mutuals anymore but that’s ok, because I still care deeply for you!! I hope you have a wonderful day <3
Aw man, I got this a few nights ago and it’s so sweet?? Thank you so much, this is super nice, I actually cried a bit when I first got this in my inbox. It makes me so incredibly happy to be able to an important part of someone’s dash. If you want to say hi off of anon I’m open to chatting a bit but if not that’s fine too! I hope that you have been having a wonderful week!!
If you were to ever play PSMD and were to make something akin Galaxies Above or Asking Paradise for it, what hero and partner do you think you would choose for your team?
Oh hmm... I don’t really know!
Both Galaxies Above and asking-paradise were made based off of playthroughs I had of their respective games, though I didn’t go into playing the games with the intention of making much content based off the teams. So, if I went into playing PSMD with the intention of making something for it, that might affect how I make my team compared to how I made Team Galaxy and Team Impulse.
Currently, if I do play PSMD, I’ll probably play it similarly to how I casually play other pmd games for the first time; do the quiz honestly and pick a partner based off that. I tend to self insert a lot when it comes to pmd too, but I feel like if I wanted to make something akin to GA or AS, then I would want to go more on the route of ocs this time through.
And though I haven’t played PSMD yet, I do know its story, and don’t have any major thoughts on it that would develop into my own story that would warrant content like that. That could change if I actually played it, but that does mean that right now, I don’t really have much motivation to make something akin to GA or AS for a team for PSMD.
How common is it for a legendary to spotted in Galaxies Above just on an everyday basis?
Pretty rare! Most legendaries tend to stick around wherever they’ve made a home, which is typically at the end of a dungeon and out of the way of people, and if they do wander out they don’t usually bother going near civilization. Sometimes a mortal will glance a legendary flying by or something, but for the average pokemon on just an everyday basis, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll run into a legendary.
