Did you ever notice that in the titanic at the beginning when jack is playing cards, the two guys he's playing against are Sven and Olaf!! :o

Yes! I’ve realized that. Only that our Frozen characters are named like that because:

Olaf sounds somewhat like “laugh”

Sven is part of the honorary to “Hans Christian Andersen”. That’s why the characters are named Hans, Kristoff, Anna and Sven (they form the word Andersen). 

And the two characters from the Titanic movie are named after two kings from Denmark— Olaf the First of Denmark and Sven the Second of Denmark.

So why did no one pay attention to little Kristoff and Sven. They were, like, really small and all the big men ignored them. I find it kinda sad actually, nobody helped them with their ice.

While I do agree that having a 9 year old harvesting ice by themselves with very little experience is extremely dangerous, I do think about this: how can you expect him to learn?

Kristoff’s an orphan and it’s most likely that he has to work to maintain himself and Sven. He cannot learn how to do it if he has another man helping him. You learn form trial and error. It’s also likely that he has no one to teach him since, you know, he’s an orphan…

Random fact... The 2 guys that Leo is playing poker with to win his ticket for the titanic.. Their names are Olaf and Sven.. Just kinda thought that was cool :)

Yes actually— they’re also called Sven and Olaf. But they’re named after two kings (pretty pretty sure they’re named after Olaf First of Demnark and Sven Second of Denmark.)

When the two lovely Frozen characters aren’t. Anna, Kristoff, Hans and Sven name come from Hans Christian Andersen— You have Hans, Kristoff instead of Christian, Anna for Ander and Sven so sen. I’m 96% sure Olaf is named after “laugh” (because he’s supposed to be fun and jokes and happiness). 

But yeah, it’s a really silly coincidence.

Ok but consider this: when kristoff found Sven, he named him that because that was the name of his deceased father.

I guess it would be really cute if he had done that. Although I don’t know how emotional he would have felt knowing that his father was dead and that there was someone else close to him with that name. Maybe because of the pain of remembering him Kristoff wouldn’t name Sven like Sven. 

I did my research and Sven is a Norwegian name that means “young boy”. I think it’s more of the lines of “he found a baby fawn lost in the woods and he adopted it. He was so small he literally called him like that”  

Either way, I think it’s a lovely headcanon.

Hey Mar, I think a long time ago, I had a lot of headcanons about Frozen to ask you, but now I can't remember many of them. :) Oh well, but I did make one as an analysis tonight, on why Kristoff talks for Sven. Did you ever have any thoughts? I guess I would also ask since it's related, just what could have happened to Kristoff to made him distrust people, especially if he had little interactions outside of selling ice and buying material items.

I really wished they would have said more about Kristoff’s background because I’m not really sure about this. 

On Frozen’s Essential Guide it says “Kristoff rescued Sven when he was a young fawn and they have been as close as two peas in a pod ever since. Sven acts like Kristoff’s conscience, using snorts and antler pokes to make him do the right thing […]”

Basing on this, I would say Kristoff started to talk for Sven because he was lonely and then he started to open up and he speaks his mind (something he wouldn’t do because it’s hard for him to trust people and he rather keep it all for himself) through Sven. When you think about the thing he says he’s being really honest and he also says the things he would like to hear.

What's your brotp?

Brotps. I have more than one.

I love Sven and Kristoff because of how much they support each other and how they're real friends even if one of them is a human and the other is a reindeer. 

I also love Sven and Olaf. I think they would have the most crazy adventures together. Also it's really sweet that Sven has the power and strength to eat Olaf's carrot nose but he's a good friend and let's him have it. 

I like Anna and Elsa as their sisterly relationship-- which is the main plot of the movie, really. They love each other so much that they sacrifice so much for each other-- Elsa gives away her freedom for her when Anna ricks her life to go find her after she flees. I would like to see them  fix their relationship as they make up for the lost time by playing like they used to when kids in the snow and all that. 

I would like to see more of Kristoff and Elsa because they have a lot in common with the ice and caring about Anna. 

And also Olaf and Anna are so sweet because even though he's a snowman Anna loves him and cares about him and the same goes for Olaf's side. It's so sweet because Olaf is a representation of Elsa's lost innocence and childhood so it's also like Elsa's feeling portrayed in Olaf.

is it weird to ship olaf and sven? because I got some very specific vibes from them and I hope I'm not the only one

Ship as in actual ship or as in brotp? I see them as good friends and I think it’s actually cute that Olaf has one of Sven’s carrots as nose and even though Sven wants to eat it he lets Olaf have it. 

If you’re talking about as in ship actual OTP ship, then I’m sorry. I’m not with you. But maybe someone else is? Maybe you're not alone.

What's your headcanons to the characters life in Arendelle post the movie?

I got a lot of these but I’m only going to put the more general and main ones

Of course I can see Kristoff and Anna getting married (after some time, not right away because I’m sure Anna understood quite clearly that you can’t marry a man you just met). 

Elsa trying to find the balance between opening up to people but still keeping her distance and trying to make up for all the years she shut her sister out and trying to be playful but still elegant. 

Poor Olaf scaring everyone while exploring summer but people just end up getting used to him and he plays with the kids and stuff. 

Even though Kristoff could have moved in the castle after the thaw and not move a finger, he still goes to harvesting trips with Sven and put that sled that Anna gave him in good use. 

Anna and Elsa try to mend their broken sisterhood and they try to spend as much time together as they can. 

Also Anna and Kristoff spend as much time as they can and they end up sneaking around the castle. 

Sven gets a nice place at the castle stables and he gets feed all the carrots that he wants. 

I don’t think that Hans would get killed or sentenced to death (it would be his brothers’ decision) but maybe he gets back chained and his brother are like “What did you do now? Ugh, no deserts for a month. Take him to his room” and he’s just like “NOOO!!! Not my krumcake!!!!!” 

Elsa does winter wonderlands for everyone at Arendelle. 

The southern isles sends some chocolates as apology for Hans’ behavior and Anna accept the chocolates but burns the apology letter.
