Okay, the first difficulty was finding a WIP that was anywhere near 7 pages or longer, bc I haven’t really been writing any long things recently. So, this shit is old. And...maybe never getting done, since I’m taking a bit of a break from KKBB. As it is, it’s gift fic for my wonderful friend @vejiicakes​, who played a DnD campaign as a character based on Harry Lockhart, which made me start a WIP, that’s....a kind of fantasy AU very very loosely based on said campaign. Sorry vejii, I knowww, I should get over myself and get it done, but hey, here’s a glimpse for you! (I also didn’t know how to count one word sentence fragments, so this is a bit wonky re: the 7-ness of it)

“Why don’t you just…?“ Harry makes an all-encompassing gesture.

“Words, Harry. Use them.”

“Y’know. Magic.”

Perry frowns at him.

“I can’t do magic.”

“Huh. Can’t all fae do magic?”

“Whatever made you think I’m fae?” Perry looks at him in confusion.

According to an internet quiz I took in like 2013, it’s a hedgehog. :) Which I’m happy with, as I can certainly see myself as both seemingly cute and harmless but also prickly. If I were to choose a different one, I might pick a grizzly bear. The more I learn about them, the more I can relate. Elephants, too. And crows. Shoot, I dunno.

2. have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? if so, who?

My dear @ishipanarmada and I are surprisingly in sync as far as goals, style, etc. which made writing together on fics very cool. My dear Jude and I write very different stuff generally but they are an amazing beta and have an uncanny skill of pushing me exactly where I needed/wanted to be pushed.

3. list your fandoms and one character from each that you identify with.

Hmmm. In Sherlock, I suppose I initially identified with Molly because smart but awkward but fierce in her way?? She has a lot going on and she’s doing the best she can. I also relate to John’s “I can mostly successfully function as a social human being, but it’s kind of a sham”. In MCU, damn, I’m not sure. Maybe Peggy, or Pepper? In the sense of even when things suck, you still got to get the job done, so you show up and get it done. They’ve got good boundaries, for the most part. They also have a Little Red Hen thing going on, too (”well if no one else will do it, i’ll do it myself”) and I can relate. I have more fandoms but I’ll just stop there or this will get ridiculously long. :)

16. if you’d grown up in a different environment, do you think you’d have turned out the same?

Oh, probably not exactly the same. I mean, if I still had the same parents and siblings, lots of things would stay constant, but I think environment has a huge role to play.

21: Of the many obscure languages of the world, which would you most like to learn? Not sure how the OP is defining “obscure”... But seeing Moana and listening to the soundtrack made me interested in Tokelauan. 

42: Where is a place you’d like to visit that people don’t generally think of as a big vacation destination? I really like being alone in my own house, because it is such a rarity. :) But also, literally, any decent shack on any beach would also be fine.

50: Who is your favourite historical figure? Oh, there are many, but here’s a couple: Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and Juan Pujol García. :)

3: If you had the money to buy a private island and build a custom castle on it, would you? Hell yes, and you could all come and play in it. There would be rooms full of cosplay supplies, and rooms full of coffee and excellent wifi, and rooms for napping, and rooms for arting... it would be grand.

7: Have you ever considered running for office? Either on a national or subnational level. I considered it briefly but then realized that I actually would hate it and possibly be less effective than I would like; I do more good in a one on one sort of situation, which my current job allows me to do, thank goodness.

24: What is a show you love that not many people would know you love? I loved the US version of Being Human. A lot. It had issues, but I just enjoyed the heck out of it. 

44: Do you collect anything? Inconsistently, yes. :) I have about ten mini tsum-tsums. I have about thirty little pins that are fandom-related or just cute and silly puns. I never met a pen or cute office supply that I didn’t want to buy. And I’m amassing coffee mugs at an alarming rate.

29: What is your favourite style of architecture? For looking at? Probably gothic, just for sheer over-the-top edginess. For living in? Probably a smallish Craftsman bungalow because beautiful but also cozy.

41: Do you have a favourite letter (of any alphabet)? M. Or any of the symmetrical ones, actually.

47: If you could have your own coat of arms, or flag, what would it look like? OMG I remembering going to the library when I was a wee lass of 13 and investigating coats of arms and what mine would be like (lion rampant? field of ermine? etc.) but I think I would choose differently now. As for a flag... maybe a mermaid, typing away at a typewriter, with a little dragon on her shoulder? :) Now, of course, I totally want to draw some version of this--thanks for the questions!!

Top 5 OTPs, huh?

I honestly yelled when I saw that @johanandersen tagged me for this? Look at us, bonding by reblogging akuatsu from each other despite being… so yugioh… anyway! This will just be the first 5 to come to mind 😝

1. Akutagawa x Atsushi (Bungou Stray Dogs)! It’s actually akuatsu week right now and I’m so pumped!! They are amazing and precious and honestly no matter how many fics I write I will never hope to perfectly encapsulate the essence of why I love them so much. I can write full academic thesi on their dynamics. Please save me. I’m now officially a day behind on the challenge because my own AU for them is making me cry.

2. I just turned off my ps so I’ll mention Sorey x Mikleo (Tales of Zestiria). These two are…. literally the epitome of my weaknesses. Childhood friends, sarcastic asses, too good for this world, near telepathic communication, I’d go thru anything just to tell you everything is alright… these idiots I love them. All that’s missing is a big boarding school AU and we’ll hit a bingo tbh.

3. SPEAKING OF IDIOTS, how about that competitorshipping, eh? Judai x Jun x Johan (ygo gx) is… honestly trying to take over my life from the shadows? I’ve shipped every iteration of this as pairings and all but one habe felt like something was missing? and then one day my brain came up with an AU and BAM SOLD. JFC I can’t even start but just. Save me from this rarepair hell.

4. Also in rarepair hell, I’m still solidly captain, crew, and hostage aboard SS kotoryoyuu. I’ll convince you all one day I swear.

5. I can’t decide which one for the last one I’m fucking screaming. It’s the cardfight nerds. I fucking hate this ship I watched 300+ episodes strictly because they are. so in love. kaiai is honestly the single most pure thing….. two autistic kids so deeply in love without realizing… fuck, man, thAT’S MY JAM.
