Also by the time I started in 2013, you could no longer smoke in the indoor part of the Staff Lounge, but you could still smoke outside in the “cage” attached to the Staff Lounge.

Last Movie/TV Show: Deep Space Nine. My beloved wife! Wrt movie, dude I genuinely do not remember, unless the DS9 pilot counts. I am bad at sitting down for movies on my own and I haven't watched one with anyone else in a looong time, especially now that I have sensory troubles with movie theaters :(

Favorite Color: Ehhhh I most like colors based on context and combination really? Like pink orange red is an elite color palette. Orange is a good highlight color for interior decorating. For clothing I like blue and black (yes yes not a color). And generally lots of colors are cool. Like dusty rose, sage green etc etc. Honestly white (yes yes not a color) and all adjacent shades are sort of elite from an art perspective to me. I have a little all white sculpture and I love watching how the shadows change on it

Currently Watching: Deep Space Nine, very slowly. Making my way through a Garashir episode rec list (made by fwiend @birbdeath :3), at the same time just went back to catch up on season 1 episode for episode with my roommate

Currently Reading: A Stitch in Time by Andy Robinson. Also Big Girl Small Town by Michelle Gallen. Also a Rus-language queer sex ed book.

Current Game: Crossplay, the NYT take on scrabble. I only really remember to make a move when the app threatens to end the game but I am trying to persevere, Maureen my randomly assigned scrabble friend deserves it. Also occasionally remember to do an Anthropeum round

Current Obsession: Rocky/Grace fanworks, no I still haven't seen the movie (: No real reason at first, but now I am mildly worried it'd eclipse my DS9 feels and like, I'm not done with that! Also still DS9 but I'm not in a snorting fic like crack phase atm

Currently Working On: OH BROTHER. Making my way through DS9. Job applications. Dusted off some old fic WIPs a while ago but applications and interviews keep getting in the way

the bad thing about having unhealthy habits due to mental illness, is when you DO do something healthy style you can't brag about about it because then people will then know you've been doing it yucky style all along. Like you can't brag you changed your sheets or brushed your teeth because then ppl will be like oh did you not brush your teeth regularly before? Thats yucky disgusting! So you just gotta keep it to yourself. And be proud alone, I suppose.

I am proud of you. Changing sheets is annoying and hard. I struggle with brushing. Showering requires SO MUCH ENERGY, my god. Bonus kudos if you ate a vegetable today, get those vitamines.

I may be just a random voice on the internet. But from the bottom of my heart, if you accomplished something today despite poor mental health, no matter how "small" - I am proud of you. You are allowed to brag in my inbox. Go you.

#Also weird hacks that help you do things Better though not Ideal #I have discovered that brushing my teeth and then eating my night snack afterwards gets me to bed earlier #Bc I need to wait 30 mins after eating with brushing (sensitive teeth problems) so if I get hungry late that's an automatic +30min #And while I'm waiting those I'm almost guaranteed to get distracted and it takes even longer #I'd love to go to sleep with 100% sparkling clean teeth but my bedtime is also a huge problem so #I do chew some gum and or swish some mouthwash after the food #The point is iirc that the plaque gets cleaned off about once every twelve hours anyway regardless of eating so I'm good with that #(and if you can't manage that regularly that is also a-ok as per the post we are all trying our best here)#Sidenote I love the word combo yucky style #So satisfying #Doesn't even feel negative #Hell yeah yucky style #Mental health #One step at a time

Love in Star Trek when there’s a character who’s regularly anywhere but their station. In TNG it’s Data being in engineering (he wants to see Geordi), in ds9 it’s Julian being in ops (he wants to gossip), and in TOS it’s Bones being on the bridge (he wants to instigate and be close to the drama).
